Why did the touchscreen randomly become unresponsive after updating to Android 15?

On August 8, I updated my Samsung Galaxy A14 to Android 15 (One UI 7). Everything seemed fine, but suddenly the touchscreen started to become unresponsive.
If the display is on, there is no problem. However, if I turn it off with the side button, when I turn it back on, the touchscreen suddenly becomes unresponsive - the phone is unusable.
Only the side buttons work, so I set it to turn on the weather with a double click. However, this brings up a screen for drawing an unlock pattern, which I can't enter at the moment. I have to turn the screen on/off for a minute at a time before it starts responding. I set the volume up button to answer a call, so I can also make calls in that situation, but that's it.
I've needed to pay or buy a ticket several times and it was quite frustrating.
It's clear that the problem is related to the Android 15 update (it never happened before), but it's not at all clear how to solve it? Maybe a factory reset would help, but I don't have time to set everything up again right now. And it's not even clear if it would help.
Please help

Rotate Always On Display 90° On WearOS?

I've been playing with some ADB
settings put
commands on one of my WearOS watches (Galaxy Watch 7, WearOS 5, OneUI 6), to customize things a bit beyond what the settings app usually allows, and I've come across an odd issue:
I wear my watches on the inside of my wrist and prefer them oriented vertically (90° from stock setting, WearOS's "landscape" orientation internally).
I have been able to use ADB to rotate the whole system to this 90° angle, and it's great. However, when the ambient mode for Always On Display kicks in, while the rotation is preserved for a moment when the screen first dims, after about two seconds, the AOD ambient screen returns to stock 0° ("portrait") orientation.
As soon as I tap the screen to wake the device from ambient mode, the rotation returns to 90°, and gestures (swipe up for app tray, down for QS, etc.) are all oriented to that 90° rotation even when the screen is in ambient mode.
I know it is not the watch face itself, because I have tried multiple and they all do this, but the issue is not present when using the stock 180° rotation mode (it will not flip back to 0° when ambient).
While reading about the issue, I found some people discussing performing a similar trick on WearOS 3, and they stated the AOD/ambient mode *stayed* rotated at 90°...
I am not sure if this is something specific to Samsung OneUI versions of WearOS, so I did a little digging with adb shell pm list packages
and it seems like Samsung's implementation of AOD/ambient is named com.samsung.android.watch.watchface.perpetual
. <-- This was a watch face, disregard. The AOD/Ambient service is still being provided by the AmbientLifecycleObserver on Samsung devices.
Is anyone aware of what might be causing this glitch, or does anyone by chance know of a way (ADB or otherwise) to force an individual-specific app to a particular orientation so I can try resolving this?
If native methods won't work, does anyone have any thoughts about the potential to mod this APK to change its default orientation in its properties?

Is it possible to delete the "personal profile" that is created in the Galaxy Contacts app? The personal profile section appears directly at the top above the contacts list, under "My profile".
After creating the profile it doesn't seem possible to delete it (I can only edit it - but I want it removed).
I am using One UI 5.0 (Android 13) and the Contacts app version is 14.0.05.8
The profile isn't linked to any Samsung account. The Samsung Contacts app personal profile seems to be stored locally on the phone. I tried clearing the Contacts app data & cache but this didn't remove the personal profile unfortunately.

I just got a new Samsung A54 and I'm trying to set it's notifications to "preserve my sanity" mode.
In Settings > Notifications > App notifications, I can select individual app. On the App notification screen, I can then:
- Allow/disallow notifications
- Set allowed ones to "Allow sound and vibration" or "Silent"
- Under "Notification types" I can select **"Lock screen", "Badge" and/or "Pop-up"** (latter only if sound and vibrations are allowed.
I have some idea what each of the notification types means, but would like some clarification. Screenshots with examples would be greatly appreciated.

I found a wallpaper that I liked and also wanted to print out as a custom case for my phone but I don't know where it's stored.
I also can't find a way to take a screenshot of it without any UI element present.

How to completely remove/turn off the work profile?
---------------------------------------------------
It splits apps in the app drawer, and some apps and settings have split options.
It's unnecessary, wastes resources and it's downright annoying that there is no obvious switch to just turn it on/off. (at least I couldn't find one)
**Versions:**
- Android 14
- One UI 6.1

What is the purpose of the small icon (marked red) on the top left? If I tap on it its gets strikethrough. Another tap reverses that, and so on. Seems like a toggle button for something but I cannot figure out its purpose.

Today, I was trying to curate a selection of photo's of my friend in my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S21). During that process I accidentally moved photos to the wrong album and then the images disappeared from my phone. These photos are important to me, can anyone help me recover them?
What I did that caused the photo's to disappear, I:
1. opened the Samsung gallery app on my phone
2. created an automatically generated album with all photo's of my friend.
3. created a new, empty album in which I wanted to curate the photo's.
4. selected in the automatically created album the best pictures of my friend.
5. moved the selected pictures from the automatically generated album to the album of whatsapp photo's (I selected the wrong album to move the photo's to by mistake).
I moved about 20 images. Of one specific image I know the content and creation date well and used that image to try to figure out where the images went. Where I looked so far is:
1. The whatsapp folder I moved the images to. I went to the place in the album where I expected the image (based on its creation date) and it wasn't there.
2. The thrash folder inside the gallery app. This only contained 1 unrelated video, not the images.
3. Since that specific image was sent to me via whatsapp, I went to the original message where the image was sent to me. There the image was shown as not downloaded and when I clicked on it to download it, it gave an error and whatsapp suggested to ask the original sender to send it again. The images within that whatsapp message thread before and after apeared as normal. Only this specific image which was part of the images I moved was unavailable.
4. Finally I also looked through the 'recent' album in the gallery app and also didn't find the image there where I expected it based on its creation date.
For other users, things I should have done (but didn't do) to prevent this issue:
1. I shouldn't have moved the images, but copied them.
2. I should have set-up a cloud back-up of my images.
Is there anything I can do to try to find the images? Or to even understand what happened here? I am a developer by trade (although not a mobile/Android developer), so I am comfortable with potential solutions that go beyond the UI of the phone. Is there anything I can do at this point?

I need to schedule USSD code (like
*101*4#

) for extra gigabytes every month. But it's required to send it at 23-00 on planned date to work correctly without extra payment.
I have found some Andoid Studio solutions for Java developers, but I haven't experience in it.
Is there some way with user options on Android OS or some application to download for scheduling with calls?

It's because previously I had use this name for my physical SIM card, but it has been removed and replaced by eSim card, so it's not even there anymore:
This is so annoying. And what am I supposed to do in this case? I mean, it's just a bug...

How can I change the font size or widget font size of One UI Home?
I was trying Theme Park from GoodLock and when I applied the theme I made, it decreased the font size of all home elements, widgets, icon captions, etc. I've tried applying the default theme but it didn't reset the font. Tried resetting One UI Home (Clear Data) but also didn't work. Also I don't seem to find a font size option on Theme Park.
I could increase the system font size, but on other apps it's fine, so I'm not doing that.

I am using Messages version 14.5.20.5. After the most recent automatic Android update (One UI 5.1), Google is eating texts that contain event links. An "add event" button briefly appears and then disappears. About 30% of the time, an event is added to my calendar but it doesn't contain any useful information (not even the link nor the name of the sender). So basically these texts are lost.
Presumably, Google was trying to implement a feature that would generate a useful calendar event from texts. I don't need such a feature. How can I turn it off? (Also how did I give Google the indication that I wanted this feature turned on in the first place?)

> The app does not have any restrictions on the number of call logs it backs up, however, most phones only keep a limited number of calls (500 or 1000 or 2000) in memory and the app can only backup those call logs.
So, it is related to my mobile - Samsung Galaxy A10 - Android 10 (One UI 2)
Is it possible to set it to unlimited or at least rapidly increase? Call Logs. Of course, SMS also (SMS still increases (555), so the exact maximum number I don't know).
