How to make YouTube URLs open in YouTube app rather than Brave browser?
I have an Android 15 device (Pixel 6) with the Gmail app. My default browser is Brave, and I do not want to change it to Chrome. I have an Android 15 device (Pixel 6) with the Gmail app.
My default browser is Brave, and I do not want to change it to Chrome.
I received an email with a link to a YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkP4JF5X6Fc&t=1s .
When I click the link, it opened up Brave to https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UkP4JF5X6Fc&t=1s (on the "m" subdomain).
Why didn't it open the YouTube app directly?
1. How can I fix that behavior?
Android > Settings > YouTube > Open by default > "In the app" is already enabled.
Even worse, when visiting a video at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UkP4JF5X6Fc&t=1s on my Pixel 6, when I clicked the "open app" button on the page, it said "this site can't be reached" and has "intent:" in the url.
2. How can I fix this intent problem?
https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/244621/how-to-make-youtube-urls-open-in-youtube-app-rather-than-browser-updated-for-2 no longer works for me.
I don't see a menu for Brave > Settings > Site settings > Media > “Video playback in Brave”

Brave browser does not automatically load newest version of page
Almost every time I open a site, it loads the previously viewed version, not the latest one. A news site might load the news from 2 days ago instead of today's most recent news. Chrome and DuckDuckGo don't have this problem, but I prefer Brave's privacy.
Once in a while it will refresh on its own. No rhyme or reason I can see.
How can I fix this?
Thanks for your help!

Within the last couple of months a change in Brave had affected my typical article reading workflow. This also affects Chrome, so I'm assuming it's a change in the underlying shared codebase.
I use [Pocket](https://getpocket.com/) to manage articles to read, and I would typically open an article in the Pocket app, click the share button, and then share the article URL to the browser. Recently this stopped working. Brave (and Chrome) no longer show in the list of all of the apps. Edge, however, does still show in that list.
I originally thought that Pocket had changed the way it was sharing, but I get the same results sharing a URL directly from one of the browser apps (though that app's *Print* action does show in the share options). Sharing from Pocket goes directly to the full app list, while sharing from the browser shows just the top options, then your have to scroll right and click *More…*.
My new workflow is to use the copy action (which includes the article title as well as URL), and then paste it into the browser, and then delete the article title so it's just the URL, then navigate.
Is there something I can configure to get this browser sharing feature back? Does anyone know what the underlying change was for?

I know that there is soft like Nirsoft ChromeCacheView, but it can only extract files from cache on PC. I know, because I tried to use it on android cache of Brave browser (from folder
/data/data/com.brave.browser/Cache/cache
).

The desktop version of the Brave browser has an option to import CSV passwords, and I did that, but there is no option to sync passwords between the desktop version and the Android browser.

This feature exists for Firefox and Opera who provide small icons of different engines when typing in the search bar and you just have to click on the one you want to use. Here is an example with Firefox
For example, I am mostly using duckduckgo.com but sometimes would like to use Google. I already know I can add "!g" in DuckDuckGo, but I'm looking for something more straightforward.
Given Brave is based on Google Chrome, I guess that it explains why it is not implemented natively, but maybe an alternative exists in Chrome that would do the job on the Brave browser?
