Is there any way to disable the quick settings panel on the lockscreen on Android 12 and 11? I want to disable it, just like it used to be on the older Android versions. If I cannot the disable it, can it be abused if my phone is lost or stolen?

Occasionally (maybe twice a month) my **Milestone** just reboots (goes black and then to the Android start-up screen, but not all the way to the Motorola screen). I presume that such behaviour could be caused a poorly written app. I have uninstalled a few but to no avail. Is there any sort of log that I could pull which would shed some light on this or even a dump file? Could this restarting issue be caused by something else? I am currently running **Android 2.1** (no OTA update available for me, yet) on a Milestone and have had this problem since I bought it in December (when it was 2.0).

I have an HTC One running Android Revolution HD (ARHD), with Android 4.4.2, and I've been getting this error that says >Bluetooth share has stopped working. The problem is that I have *no clue* what's causing this error to appear. I think it started appearing after I clicked the "share" button in an app - but even after fully rebooting my device, I STILL keep getting this error. Does anyone know what could cause this error? And more importantly - how do I debug what app is causing this error? I just don't even know where to start investigating.

I have two Google accounts on my phone. My personal one and a corporate one. Currently, from any machine logged in either accounts, I can find my device. Although there's nothing nefarious about my whereabouts, I do not wish the admin of my corporate account to know where my phone spends its evening. Is there a way to disable "Find my device" for just one account? I see the "Device Finders" -> "[On/Off]" switch. However that seems to control both accounts at once.

**Galaxy-S (Vibrant), Android 2.1** If I create an event with the stock Calendar app, I can freely change which Google Calendar the event is associated with. Once it sync's with Google Calendar, however, I can no longer change which Calendar the event is associated with. I can do change any other aspect of the event, and even delete the event, but I can't move it to a different calendar. I can change the calendar from the Google Calendar web page, though.

This would be helpful at times... I usually just end up pressing home and selecting the Gmail widget from there but I've gotten used to long-pressing home to get to recent apps. Could it be due to the fact that I get to email using the widget? Does it work with the native email client or other email apps?

Is it possible to delete the "personal profile" that is created in the Galaxy Contacts app? The personal profile section appears directly at the top above the contacts list, under "My profile". After creating the profile it doesn't seem possible to delete it (I can only edit it - but I want it removed). I am using One UI 5.0 (Android 13) and the Contacts app version is 14.0.05.8 The profile isn't linked to any Samsung account. The Samsung Contacts app personal profile seems to be stored locally on the phone. I tried clearing the Contacts app data & cache but this didn't remove the personal profile unfortunately.

in the gmail app on my android I mistakenly hit always show images on a particular sender, how do i turn that off? All the answers found say use the drop down by the senders address, but the link to ask to show images is missing. How to I turn this back back on for a particular sender?

So I wanted to see if someone can read log files and tell me if my device seems hacked,cloned or remote accessed or rooted I know nothing about this stuff but it seems like my log files don't look right

I'm constantly harassed by these *" Download unsuccessful."* notifications. After taking the above screenshot, I cleared the entire notifications list. Within the next three minutes (usually even less), the list was already overflowing again. I've learned to manage the symptom by navigating to the ***Download Manager*** application settings; hitting *FORCE STOP*, followed by *CLEAR DATA*, and *CLEAR CACHE*. Although the notifications slowly start showing up again. Just one at first, but gradually increasing in number with each occurance. Within a day or two, the numbers are usually back out of control. I have no idea what it's supposedly attempting to download, or why. But whatever it is, it's not instigated by myself. I could just disable download notifications, but I'd rather identify the underlying problem and kill it directly. Needless to say, I'm not too keen on my devices automatically trying to download random mystery files from the internet. Any ideas? Thanks. Most times the **Samsung** S23+ BT, with LE Audio enabled, connectivity to my **Oticon** Intent hearing aids is great. However, sometimes I think another BT device interferes causing the connectivity to drop (i.e. I can hear the party on the other end but they can not hear me!). I observe the BT icon on my phone is turned OFF due to this interference. As a result, I am forced to either turn ON the BT icon or turn on the Speaker to allow our conversation to continue. But, many times the other party believes a disconnect and calls me back. Very frustrating! Is there someway I can set the phone BT priority highest while paired with my HAs to block any other outside BT interference? Or, is there a Do Not Disturb type setting I can invoke real time to block outside BT interference? Or, is there an App I can install that would address the issue in some way? Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm fairly sure I got some malware in my Motorola Edge Plus 2023, so I did a factory reset. Other than the weird popups (games installed, etc.) and settings mysteriously changing, it was still lightning fast. Now after the reset, very very slow, especially with texts. It takes over 30 seconds to open a text msg. Any ideas?

I installed some widgets from the Loop Habit Tracker onto the home screen of the Nova Launcher. Unfortunately, the font size of the text in the widgets is too small. I tried increasing the setting at Nova Launcher --> Settings --> Home screen --> Layout --> Label --> Size. This did not change the size of the text in the widgets. I think this setting only impacts the size of the labels for the apps. How can I resize the text in a widget?

As of 13-11-18, I was sharing APK files on WhatsApp, for testing apps within a circle of people, with no problem whatsoever. But as of today, if I try to open an apk, I get an error toast saying: > You may not have the proper app to view this content. Did they change their policies and decided not to let people share APK files on their platform? I don't use third party websites for sharing APKs, where mostly Chrome spooks most people saying that "This type of file may harm your device".

My computer can communicate with my Android due to being on the same WiFi network. I have Bluetooth headphones and perhaps other Bluetooth devices (Bluetooth mouse, etc). I just bought a Bluetooth dongle for my computer. However, given that my Android device can communicate with my computer anyway via WiFi, I wonder if it's necessary? This one asks if Computer -> USB -> Android phone -> Bluetooth is possible I am asking if Computer -> WiFi -> Android phone -> Bluetooth is possible. In fact, I am interested in Computer -> Bluetooth -> Android phone -> Bluetooth too. Why would I? Well, Windows 10 cannot connect to 5 Bluetooth headsets at once. Maybe sending the sound to my smartphone that can connect to 5 would solve that?

I had a tablet (Alcatel U3A_7_WIFI running Android Go) working alright. In order to root it, first I made (what I thought was) a full backup with mtkclient : python mtk.py rl ./backup After the rooting went wrong, I tried to flash a stock ROM (with SP Flash tool). Found many variants for that model and they all work perfectly while doing black and white output. But as soon as colors are involved I get this stripe pattern (and bluish colors): The battery indicator shown when charging, has the same color problem, so I think it has to be something happening at a very early stage. Does anybody know how to solve it? Or what could be wrong? I tried flashing individual partitions with mtkclient from the backup I had (no way to flash the whole thing back, as far as I know). But half of the time this bricks the tablet (just BROM mode) and the other half nothing changes. Colors are still the same, bluish and striped.

If I correctly understand Google's overly-complex privacy UI, people can disable the storing of their interactions with the "traditional" Google Assistant. Google will reportedly be phasing out Google Assistant during 2025 and is replacing it with Google Gemini Assistant. According to this Google support page , it appears that there is no way to prevent Google from storing (and reading) everything you say to their "improved" assistant: > **Even when Gemini Apps Activity is off**, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours to allow Google to provide the service and process any feedback. This activity won’t appear in your Gemini Apps Activity. Is Android 13 auto-disabling pseudo-uninstalling some of my games? I just installed Rainbow 6, and it didn't ask to uninstall apps to free space... I had these games working well: PUBG and Call of Duty (played it last week). Now both are grayed out on adw2launcher, I can't even open info about the game from adw2, but I can open Play Store from it. At Play Store it says the app is not installed! At appmgr3, I can see Call of Duty there, but it has no icon. Opening the info for it, it doesn't show the game name, shows just the app technical name: androidx.multidex.multidexapplication And says it is using 8.6 GB of external storage, but I can't find the files there. How can the system have app info for an app that should be installed, but it is detected as not installed? Ahhh, it is confusing... What is going on? I didn't uninstall them.... Could it be some virus? It happened to about 8 games... Ahhh... :( Any clue? Any idea? Have you seen this mess before? I didn't drop my phone on the floor...
