Is it safe to still use an iBook G4 on Wi-Fi?

                          I have recently bought an iBook to run a specific software. The machine is still pretty good but I was chatting with someone and they recommended not connecting it to Wi-Fi.

Is there an issue with doing this? Is it unsafe for some reason?
