Can no longer mount hard disk

One of my external hard disks is a 8 TB "Seagate Backup Plus". It is formatted with NTFS and came with a driver program and utility (named "NTFS for Mac"). This worked well until I updated my Mac from MacOS 11 to MacOS 15. Now when I try to mount the drive, it says "failed to mount". The drive is also not visible at all in DiskUtility, but is visible from the "NTFS for Mac" utility.
