I have a 2019 macbook pro running macos 13.7.3 and in the past few days it has randomly said "I'm having a hard time hearing you" twice. It had never done this previously and both times I hadn't actually said anything. I also can't reproduce the issue, if I try to intentionally prompt it with things it just doesn't respond. I'm assuming it's something to do with siri so after the first time it happened I ensured to disable siri and then after the second time it happened siri was somehow reenabled. Also of note the "Listen for 'Hey Siri'" setting has never been enabled.
So I guess I have two issues:
1) Why is my macbook trying to hear me?
2) How do I permanently disable siri?
