time-machine external-disk restore virtualization

                          I have MacBook Air running 15.5 as a host system
with most recent ipfw of macOS in a UTM guest
with a USB SDD attached via side port with TimeMachine on it.
I boot into recovery mode on the UTM guest system and trying to use the Time Machine via shared path, but the guest system does not see the source. How can I fix this?
