Here is what I get from
I've read a few other forums and I think I generally understand the process but I want to double check I'm taking the right steps
I got my Mac secondhand and noticed I’m “missing” around 90GB, while diskutil shows (free space) of 91.4GB which adds up. The free space does not show up in the Disk Utility application, neither in Recovery mode nor from a normal boot. From my understanding, I need to:
1. Format the free space as an APFS partition.
2. Use the Disk Utility application to adjust the size of the partitions.
Is this correct? Is it better to delete the newly created partition for (free space) afterwards?
Since (free space) comes after disk0s3, is this the right command to use?
diskutil list

diskutil addpartition disk0s3 apfs NewAPFS 0
Just want to double check since I tried to do something similar a few years ago and bricked my system which involved a lot of work to get fixed. This is my daily computer so I want to make sure I do it right the first time.
