Ubuntu Budgie 24.10 - app center error "unable to create gx session"

Opening the App Center tool and other applications such as Desktop Security and the firmware updater results in an empty page with the error message: "Unable to create GX session" on Ubuntu Budgie 24.10. I suspect the issue is related to the Nvidia 3050 GPU, the latest Nvidia driver, and the X11 graphics system. Workarounds such as downgrading Nvidia drivers or reinstalling problematic software do not work. I searched online and it seems to be a known bug. Have you found any solutions? Or is upgrading to the newly released Ubuntu 25 the only option?
