Why is the Android Go's performance better?

[The Android Go's official site](https://www.android.com/versions/go-edition/) says faster launch time, extra space for media! Sounds good, but it's for an entry-level device, with 1GB RAM or less, why it still get better performance? Wish someone can give more details to understand what's the reality of Android Go.
