How to display camera image on second Android device?

I'd like to hold my Android phone in an awkward to reach place and be able to see the live image on my Android tablet. I might be able do it with some cable adapters and a Chromecast dongle, but is there a software solution that uses wi-fi or Bluetooth directly without any of the extra hardware?
