I had an Android (Samsung Galaxy) smartphone with AT&T providing the carrier service. Because AT&T owns DIRECTV, they allow unlimited streaming on their DIRECTV app using AT&T's cellular network data that does not affect your normal internet or hotspot data limits like it would for, say, Netflix.
That allowed me to stream DIRECTV with no data limits or surcharges to my phone over the cellular network while traveling in my RV. I would then use the "Smart View" (Miracast) feature on the phone with my Amazon Firestick/TV to connect the two devices over a direct-WiFi connection (the Firestick has a wireless transmitter/receiver built in to facilitate this connection).
The direct-WiFi connection ability that "Smart View" used was important because the connection used this feature instead of demanding a WiFi connection to the internet over AT&T's network, eating up my data limit, negating the advantage of the unlimited streaming if I was required to access the internet using AT&T's cellular network or hotspot capability.
I recently upgraded to a new Galaxy A14 5G phone running Android 13 to get the benefits of 5G. Samsung/Galaxy, in their infinite wisdom, deleted the "Smart View" functionality, "replacing" it with "SmartThings", which not only requires a WiFi connection to the internet or a special SmartThings hub/router to function, and in addition, it does not support Amazon Firestick or many other devices "Smart View" used to support.
Any help or constructive guidance on how to get "Smart View" or a similar app that only required a direct-WiFi to implement the screen mirroring capability would be appreciated. I have been hunting for such an app for weeks now.

Ticking force desktop mode in developer options did not help.
Is there any way to set screen+ desktop as a default screen for mirroring by making changes in android system settings ?

I wish to use a Fire 8 HD tablet as a "repeater" to view what's shown on the screen of my Android phone, specifically for in-car navigation w/ Google Maps & Waze, connecting between them with Bluetooth.
I've downloaded TeamViewer on both the phone and tablet, but am not able to connect the two.
How can I do this with an app other than TeamViewer which uses Bluetooth?
Once I connect the two, how do I keep the Fire tablet from timing out & going dark?

1) take a screenshot of the app's screen without launching it, i.e. while it's still in the background or
2) broadcast or mirror that particular app's screen to a webpage / url or
3) spy on / monitor that app's screen without launching it
Basically I want to obtain the information on the screen of the app without triggering it, because when I do, I will then be forced to take action on the information that's showing, but sometimes it is best to ignore it. Is there a technique that can allow me to do this?

I have root and xposed.

To make it more difficult: one of the devices is android 4.1
**Edit 1:** I said _mirror_ before. It was wrong. I meant _control_. Need to view and control another device.
**Edit 2:** It may be something different than bluetooth, as long as no internet be required.

Is there any way to mirror the screen to the TV from USB-C to HDMI (I have an adapter) of the TV? In particular, I'm interested in a solution for Xiaomi and TV that does not have Wi-Fi. Xiaomi screen casting in setting looks like it works only via Wi-Fi. If it's an app, preferably open source, or at least no registration and minimum of ads.

I'm trying to record the initial setup of an Android phone/tablet for my company but i'm running into an issue where none of the Android to PC mirroring programs work during this part without having USB Debugging enabled. The problem is that these settings are not available because of the company settings and even then trying it on a private Android device it seems that when you Factory Reset the device the enabled USB Debugging setting is reset to its default which is off.
So my question is how do people take pictures or recordings of the initial Android setup with this conundrum in mind?

Two days ago, my dad brought a projector that has a weird miracast system that works when something connects to **it's** wifi network and mirrors the screen using an app called EzCast.
The thing is, I want to use it to stream videos on my phone while mirroring my screen. The projector does not connect to normal wifi networks, but instead, it hosts its own network where the device to be mirrored/ cast from is to be connected to.
So If I have to watch something on the projector, I lost my internet connection.
- Is it possible to connect to two wifi networks at the same time? Or
- Is there any other way to get the desired result?. (stream videos
online to the projector).
Thanks. Please pardon the messy wording. I'm typing this on my phone and am an ESL speaker.

I want to cast my mobile screen to an LED monitor which has an HDMI port using Miracast . The device is not purchased, But the testing is done by an Android TV now.
If the mobile is in landscape mode, the monitor will be filled with the mobile screen content. But I need to use the monitor in portrait mode permanently with the mobile also in portrait mode. Is there any way to rotate the casted content by -90 degrees?
**Mobile content**
**Actual result in monitor**
**Required result in monitor**
I am using two mobile phones for casting with the Google home application
**1. Lenovo P2 (Android 7)**
**2. LG Q6 (Android 8.1)**
Also while testing the mirroring, I felt there is a delay appears in the TV. Also, the text is blurred on the screen.
Note: I can see some similar questions are there, but nothing seems helpful.

I want the opposite of screen mirroring, from android tv box to smartphone.
Reason I want remote control apps on android tv box with smartphone but avoid over the air streaming.
The android tv box is rooted and connected via ethernet LAN port to my home network.
Google TV and other screen cast apps require wifi enabled on tv box (which is disabled). I prefer solution over TCP/IP. scrcpy can control over adb which works on tcpip too, but it's for PC. Therefore I am fine with middle solution control PC from smartphone + control tv box from PC
What can I do?

There is no wireless display or screen mirroring option in it.However when i use playstore app like miracast or ezmira ,i see this option
Clicking on the device, **it gets connected but i see only a green screen on my tv** .I can hear the audio, but **there is no video only green screen**.
In the setting menu,i clicked on the devoloper option and turned on the **wireless display certificate**
In order to find solution, i rooted my phone to instll a custom rom, but my bad luck!, there is no custom rom available for my phone.I installed **Xposed Framework**,but i found no module to fix this problem. Also there is no twrp recovery available for my phone,so i can not go for magisk module.

Help me to find a solution for the green screen problem.Any suggestions will be highly appreciated

WiFi direct finds the device, I am also able to send videos with sound from Nexus to it (as well as from a Windows 10 pc). However if I start the "Cast screen" from Nexus, it says "No devices available"; also when I invoke screen mirroring app on the TV, WiFi direct loses it.
I've tried about dozen playstore apps with no avail, including Chromecast, Mirror beta, Wifi display, Wireless display (Miracast) and others, all of them failed in different ways.
Presumably it will work with additional hardware like Chromecast, what I want to know is whether it is supposed to work as is, and if yes, why does not it work.
I found some similar questions here, they are about some different hardware/software combinations. Is there a known common problem?

I also know there is some software that mirrors PC screen to Android with Wi-Fi and such, but firstly they are not free and don't function as I want it to, and secondly, most of them use wireless which I don't want.
Is it possible to mirror (part of) PC screen to Android with USB-C?
