How to increase lock screen / passcode delay on Android and mimick iOS "Erase all data after 10 failed attempts" feature

[Locker](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.zygotelabs.locker/) was able to erase data after a number of failed passcode attempts, but is no longer available, and was an incomplete solution without addressing the short delay since it could be invoked by accident. I found a [post from 2016](https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/144805/increase-30-seconds-lock-time-after-incorrect-attempts) which recommends [LockScreen Tweakbox](https://xdaforums.com/f/xposed-general.3094/) , but that doesn't seem to be active anymore (there's no recent update and it's not available in the [xposed module repository](https://modules.lsposed.org/)) . Are there any suggested alternatives?

I'm on Android 9 and have complete R/W access to the /system partition. I want it because: 1. I need it to persist after factory reset 2. I have posted my debloated/degoogled stock ROM on XDA, and it needs to be installed by flashing the system.img. I want to have Xposed preinstalled in the ROM. Thanks for answering.

I am having problems setting the kernel to permissive (SElinux). I have already tried the setenforce 0 command with terminal but it immediately goes back to enforcing as soon as I set the setenforce 0 command. So I finally got fed up and decided to monitor what was actually going on in my phone by using a logcat. After looking at the logcat, I found a line of code that could be setting the kernel to enforcing by default. Here is the code: /audit ( 6001): type=1404 msg=audit(1479393162.929:264): config_always_enforce - true; enforcing=1 old_enforcing=1 auid=4294967295 ses=4294967295 The config_always_enforce is set to true so that means I should probably set this to false. Unfortunately I don't know where this value is in my system. Does anyone have any idea? I have a Galaxy S6. Also, I removed all the Knox apps, but everytime I reboot, I get Knox folders reappearing and a file called knox emulated in the /storage folder. Have I not removed all the Knox apps? I will post my logcat that way ya'll can take a look at it. I hope you all can help me because I really want a custom ROM so I can use Xposed.

App doesn't recognize moved OBB file to SD even though 'Obb on SD' Xposed module is installed

I'm trying to move the OBB files of some of my games to my SD card to free some internal storage space. I looked for solutions and found the Obb on SD Xposed module, which says that "just enable module, reboot and move obb's to SD card (to same folder: Android/obb) - that's that." My device is already rooted and has the Xposed Framework installed. So I just downloaded and enabled the module and rebooted. I'm looking to move Plants vs Zombies 2's OBB file which is around 600 MB, to the SD card. I've updated the game in Google Play Store and then started it to verify that it is fully updated and doesn't need to download anything. I then moved the com.ea.game.pvz2_row directory (which contains the OBB file) in /storage/sdcard0/Android/obb/ to /storage/sdcard1/Android/obb/ using Amaze File Manager in root explorer mode. I rebooted the device and then I ran Plants vs Zombies 2 but upon starting, it started downloading resources of around ~600 MB (which is probably the directory I moved). **How do I make Plants vs Zombies 2 recognize the moved OBB file in the SD card?** Details: - Device: Lenovo A3300-HV - Android version: KitKat 4.4.2 - The device is rooted. SU management app is SuperSU. - I already did the 'KitKat SD Card' fix and I have other apps that write to the SD card without any issues. - The /storage/sdcard0/ directory despite its name, is actually internal storage. This device has only one physical SD card and it is at /storage/sdcard1/. - Obb on SD details: - 'Data On SD' is unchecked - Play Store Hooks is unchecked (I also tried checking but it doesn't seem to affect the issue) - Detect SD on Android 5/6 is grayed-out and can't be toggled (says 'No path found') - Internal Path says "Detected: /storage/emulated/0".

I have a KernelSU rooted & Xposed/LSPosed enabled Android device running Android 10. Greenify by Oasis APK can detect what receiver trigger the startup of an APK, but when Greenify boot late, it won't know that. I want to give Greenify a higher boot priority to detect those other startup APKs receivers or providers or services (Not the traditional BOOT_COMPLETED receiver as it comes late), I tried making Greenify a System APK and device admin, but still its boot priority is low, I tried modifiying packages.xml in /data/system but no luck. I created this script in KernelSU service.d folder but I think the device is overwhelmed by the receivers at the boot process
#!/system/bin/sh

wait_for_process() {
    while [ ! -e "/proc/$1" ]; do
        sleep 1
    done
}

wait_for_process $(pidof com.android.systemui)

# Trigger Startup for Greenify
am broadcast -n com.oasisfeng.greenify/.Startup
Your help would be appreciated!

I am trying to figure out if there is a method of installing Xposed framework on **stock ROM** without custom recovery (e.g CWM or TWRP). The conventional method that I am well familiar with is installing the framework via Xposed app on a rooted device. I researched a bit and most workarounds were promising although not successful: According to this source , the method involves setting the system partition writable then pushing the necessary files via adb commands however fails with Permission denied errors. I suspect bootloader issues (which seems to be locked) here but not very sure. The other way, described here doesn't need custom recovery. This involves installing a third party application (FlashFire) to flashed unsigned .zip but unfortunately seems to require root (from description). The last one involves using new systemless xposed framework but the problem is that it supports android 5+ versions. So is there any convenient way of installing xposed framework on **stock recovery without root**? **Edit** Following important discussions raised in comments, I guess I have to explain why I want to bypass root-based installation procedure, it's because the device in use is not rooted, so I need to use a non root installation mrthod. Contrary to the comments however, some users have used Xposed without **root**: > **Xposed only needs root access when you install** it, then everything > else is completely transparent to the user because the framework acts > as a **separate conduit** to the system -- it doesn't go through the usual > SU channels Also the device is running Android 4.3 stock

Recently, I saw a "Google Pixel 3XL" with a seller, and he claimed that its IMEI number had been changed. When I asked, how did he know that? He said this is because of the "Magisk" app installed. Then he verified it through our official country's website and it was an IMEI of another smartphone, "Sharp Aquos r2." He also mentioned that upon factory resetting, the IMEI number will be lost. So how can the Magisk app change the IMEI number? I think it just masks the IMEI.

My Pixel 4a currently has a pretty bulky case, making it unreasonable that the fingerprint reader is being activated in my pocket, yet I still find myself frequently having to reenter my pin. I'm looking for a simple clear-cut way to disable this. It's annoying, I think at times it could actually be *more* insecure, especially in places where there are cameras around capturing input. My device is rooted, and I have xposed framework installed. How can I disable this abomination of a "security check"?

So I can possibly patch the leak... Block services... An xposed module screwed my interface. It's all black. I can't access /data/data from within TWRP due to some stupid encription problem. Is there another way to disable xposed ? Losing data is out of the question. Can't access data through ADB either: debugging is disabled ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Update:** **Too late.** Did something on TWRP and lost everything. Even the ROM got corrupted. Had to reflash EVERYTHING Chaos was going on: the screen was not only black, but completely irresponsible. The only dialog available was the Turn Off/Reboot. Safe mode useless. TWRP showed Internal and External storages as 0MB. Couldn't mount either. Not even system could be mounted. Written... even less. Maybe all this had something to do with encryption. I could never disable encryption on this phone (apparently it is impossible) If it still has some use: XT1925-5 (Moto G6) TWRP 3.3.1.0 Boot, Xposed and Magisc were all flashed by either fastboot or TWRP I can't remember the exposed version. The module was something like P-fy (change appearance of Oreo to look like Pie. Stay away from this crap) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Update 2:** There seems to be a way to disable xposed by machine gunning any hardware button after logo during boot. Can't test now. I was trying to cripple xposed by modding something at data/data/. Hard way it seems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Finally:** For the reasons above, I can't evaluate the answers of those who attempted to help. Hope it helps the next guy. By me, the thread can be deleted.

Two days ago I upgraded my Xperia Z3 to Lollipop. Needless to say I'm not impressed (mainly due to no longer having great battery life), and plan on going back to 4.4 soon. For some time I've been wanting to root my phone in order to install the Xposed framework, however this would be my first time ever rooting, or flashing any roms on a phone. I have the D6603 model, and want to make sure whenever I root the phone I don't lose the DRM keys and ruin the phone's camera. Are there any recommended guides or videos for someone brand new to rooting/flashing? I've looked around in the XDA forums, but I run into various threads on rooting, and have no idea what is safe, and what could potentially brick my phone.

**The problem.** Location spoofing is fairly simple for most Android apps. It's done either by using Xposed modules such as XPricyLua or by using a location spoofing app such as Fake GPS Location or even both. But few sophisticated apps such as WeChat or GPS Info & NMEA Logging will anyway detect your real location even if you use an Xposed module or a FakeGPS app or even both. It happens because they utilize hardware level SDK (e.g. BaiduLocationSDK) and will relay on NMEA sentences rather than LocationManager and FusedLocationProvider APIs. There's a related post on stackoverflow that haven't been resolved. **Spoofing methods I have tried and they haven't worked** (even on rooted Android): - Xposed Modules such as XPrivacyLua and LocationInjector (apps see NMEA sentences from real location) - Anything using Developer options, mock location app (Fake GPS location , MockGeoFix, Bluetooth GPS Provider) - Fused location provider spoofing with apps using both mock location and Xposed module (Mock Locations (fake GPS path) ) - IP geolocation spoofing (VPN) - GPS provider spoofing & IP geolocation spoofing - geo nmea and geo fix commands (worked on emulator, MockGeoFix doesn't show NMEA sentences) **Ideas.** Some GPS-over-bluetooth/network/serial apps such as GNSSTool or GPS Connector almost do the work. They are able to receive NMEA sentences from other hardware devices (e.g. Android phone) or even replay them from nmea-files BUT but WeChat and GPS Info & NMEA Logging doesn't see satellites and NMEA sentences anyway (as mock location app selected). **The question.** Are there any other applications, modules (Xposed, Magisk), methods or ideas to spoof location in apps relaying on NMEA sentences on a physical Android 8.1 phone?
