YouTube to XBMC using Airplay
Does anyone knows a method to send YouTube videos to XBMC using Airplay? The functionality I'm looking for is similar to the one available on iOS devices. I know that AirSync can send videos but not YouTube videos.

Stream Audible audio to DLNA/UPNP speakers

I would like to listen to my [Audible audio books](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.audible.application) on external speakers because the tablet's internal speakers are too weak and headphones are not always practical. In another my post, https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/190837/stream-any-audio-to-dlna-upnp-speakers , I asked if there is a generic solution to stream audio output from any app on my Android devices, if there is no generic solution then have anyone figured out a specific solution for Audible? Audible doesn't seem to support external players, so I cannot use [BubbleUPnP](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp) like I can with [BeyondPod](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.beyondpod) for free podcasts. I have nice external speakers, Panasonic SC-NE5DBEB-K by the way. When I am home, my tablet and speakers are on the same home wireless network, I would like to listen to Audible when doing household chores for example, but the tablets internal speakers are too weak, I have to move around the house, it sometimes noisy and headphones are not practical, I still need to hear other people too.

WiFi direct finds the device, I am also able to send videos with sound from Nexus to it (as well as from a Windows 10 pc). However if I start the "Cast screen" from Nexus, it says "No devices available"; also when I invoke screen mirroring app on the TV, WiFi direct loses it. I've tried about dozen playstore apps with no avail, including Chromecast, Mirror beta, Wifi display, Wireless display (Miracast) and others, all of them failed in different ways. Presumably it will work with additional hardware like Chromecast, what I want to know is whether it is supposed to work as is, and if yes, why does not it work. I found some similar questions here, they are about some different hardware/software combinations. Is there a known common problem?

Is it possible to scan specific folders for music files and import them to some android media player app, which could then stream the music to a DLNA device? Another challenge is that the music files are on a NAS device, so they would be accessed through an SMB share (or AFP, or NFS share, if that changes anything). I found a way to mount it to android's filesystem (using command busybox mount iocharset=utf8 -t cifs -o username=guest,rw,noperm,iocharset=utf8 //192.168.0.106/xxx /data/media/0/xxx), so apps see it as a local folder (you must have root for that I think, also the kernel should support cifs filesystem, and apparently the android device should not be in battery saving state and iocharset=utf8 is important if you have file or folder names with special characters), but the problem is that many apps rely on android's media scanner service to find music, which probably has trouble scanning the whole mounted folder and the apps do not see all the music files.

Is there a generic ways how to stream _any_ audio from my mobile or table to my WiFi DLNA/UPnP speakers? By any audio I mean any audio output from any application - YouTube, Audible, BeyondPod, any music player etc. I figured out partial solution for [BeyondPod](http://www.beyondpod.mobi) , a podcast client, and [BubbleUPnP](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp) , where BubbleUPnP streams to the speaker when it is set as "external" player for BeyondPod. It's a partial solution because it works only for applications with support for redirection to external player. YouTube or Audible has no option to use external player. And it is not ideal solution either. For example playlists are tricky, both BubbleUPnP and BeyondPod have their own playlists and they don't play along well. BubbleUPnP is unfortunately not just just audio _forwarder_, it's full fledged media player and its own broad functionality in this scenario it gets in the way :( Is there a proper audio forwarding (re-streaming, re-directing) solution, an app or a driver, which would take any audio output and forward it to my external speakers? My speakers support UPnP/DLNA, Airplay and Bluetooth.

I noticed after the updated of my Nexus 7 from Android 5 to 6.0.1, that my DLNA app BubbleUPnP (Version 2.5.5.1) stopped detecting video players. I am trying to view a video from my library with VLC Player Version 1.7.2., but I just cannot select it. Before with Android 5, the player could be selected, but I don't know for sure, if it changed because of updating android or the app. I also tried another player. Not selectable, either. From within other apps, e.g. Total Commander, I can select every intalled video player. I have an other device, too, with Android 4.3. BubbleUPnP and VLC are the same versions and there it all works fine. I already asked the bubblesoft support, but unfortunately they don't have an idea, either... They claim that they tried it on a Nexus 5 running the same Android and app versions, and everything works fine. How can I fix it?

I have a Nexus 4 (Lollipop) & a Lumia 520 (Windows 8.1) Since, Nexus has limitations of Data size & Lumia supports a microsd, Most of my Videos/movies are stored in lumia 520's SD card. Almost all of these happen to be in flv/mkv format which unfortunately is not supported by windows phone. There are apps which claim to support mkv in lumia but have a lot of defects in decoding. I tried mkv viewer, ccplayer, moli etc. but the experience is pretty disappointing. So, I need a way to create a peer to peer network such that Lumia 520 acts as a media server & streams videos(no downloads.. all in memory as there is insufficient data space) to nexus 4(which can play these videos excellently). There is an app in Windows store (Lumia Play To) which can cast screen to other devices. Using BubbleUPNP on Nexus 4, I could get Nexus 4 to be seen in Lumia & works good. However, this approach has **two limitations :** 1) You need a separate wifi router/network to which both devices can connect. 2) Lumia Play To cannot stream mkv/flv videos. There is also an app (Easy Transfer) for windows which shows phone files via Browser. This shows flv/mkv files but it does not stream videos. Rather, it downloads the video & that is very slow. Also, a separate wifi network is needed. So I need a Way/Apps wherein I can create a Wifi direct network between these two devices & watch videos in nexus 4 without fully downloading them. (The last four words might be too much to ask but if at all it is possible, that would be good.)

I have been trying to achieve a DLNA / Media Share between my Nexus 5 and Xbox 360, so far I have been unable to achieve this and I decided to turn here to see if anyone could shed some light. What I basically want to do is stream media **from my Nexus 5 to my Xbox 360**, now what makes this all quite confusing is I have a standalone router flashed with DD-WRT to handle connections upstairs, this includes the Xbox 360. The app I am using to try and achieve this is **BubbleUPnP Pro**. The Xbox 360 has its own IP Address defined within the second router, I guess it is an Access Point as it simply connects to the main router wirelessly and then provides access through the ethernet ports. My question is, is it possible for me to stream media from my Nexus 5 (which is connected to the Main Router) through the Access Point and to my Xbox 360? If so - will it require any action on the Main Router and what are the steps I need to take to achieve it? Thank you - (I have attached a image to document how everything is set up network-wise) Two routers DNLA layout

I know that it has to be a DLNA compatible device, which I believe most of computer displays are not, and I also know there's this companion HTC Media Link HD device (which is a wi-fi dongle kind of thing). I have a Mac OS X 10.8.2 Macbook Air, and an old Linux laptop, and some time to kill on a cold November weekend, so what I am asking really is whether there is a way to turn my Macbook or Linux laptop into a DLNA compatible device so that I could play slideshows on 24" display without investing any extra money.

When testing a widget I created, I wanted to make sure that it uses as little CPU power as possible. After some research I downloaded Watchdog to use as a monitoring tool, which works great. When I finished my testing I set the CPU threshold at 10%, just curious to see what process would randomly go above that level. One that exceeds the 10% threshold on a daily basis, at least a couple times a day, is **com.motorola.Dlna**. I know what DLNA is, what it's used for, and how to set it up but I don't use it, nor do I have it set up on my phone. I spoke with a Motorola support analyst and asked why it would be running. The response I got was "it's possible you could have set it up without knowing it, maybe by an application that you downloaded but it's nothing to worry about".
Needless to say the answer I got wasn't very helpful so I'm really just wondering what would cause this service to use so much CPU power randomly? Most of the time it's not being used, but when it is, it shows that it's using usually between 12.5% - 15% CPU power. Do applications really access/use this service without me ever actually going through and setting it up?
