How to disable notification bubbles in Telegram?

A while ago when using Telegram I started getting notifications as bubbles.
Personally I don't like them (and I'm not alone on that). One of the reasons is that when you open the chat from there, you're not able to react to anything. To add a reaction, you need to close that window and open the chat as you would normally before.
After checking all of the settings in the app, there was nothing allowing that.
How can I then disable them?
