How to control Bluetooth on Android devices via WiFi?

                          I would like to be able to remotely (over WiFi) 
  - enable/disable Bluetooth, 
  - connect/disconnect my Bluetooth headphones and 
  - check the status of Bluetooth (are my headphones connected or not)

on my Android devices.

How can I achieve that? Is there a way to expose some REST API on my devices that will let me do it?
