iPhone SE (3rd) touchscreen failure on wake

I think this started when I updated to iOS 18. When I wake the phone and tap an app icon toward the upper left portion of the screen, the apps move slightly to the right instead of launching the app. It's like the apps are scrolling away from the tap target. If I touch the screen very slowly, I can sometimes get the touch to open the app correctly. This behavior is temporarily fixed by using the right side button to turn the screen off and then back on again. Currently running 18.3.2. I have already tried erasing all content and settings. No effect.
