How to add Android StackExchange RSS feed to HTC news reader app

                          I've been trying to add https://android.stackexchange.com/feeds  to my RSS feeds in the News application on my HTC Desire Z. However it doesn't "find" any results. I just want to add this URL as it is instead of searching for it. Isn't this possible?
