I would like to read Linux and open-source related news from my Android device. My current solution is a *gReader Pro*, which supports 4x4 widget and I have configured it to display RSS feeds from multiple sources:
The problem is, that often those RSS feeds show only the title or short summary and one still needs to visit the web page to read the whole article. Is there a way around this or only solution is to use RSS sources which publish full articles as RSS? In addition, I tried with few "personal magazin" apps like *Flipboard*, but I still ended up at the news-source web-page.

How can I watch for uninstalled app updates?

For example, I do not have Google Camera installed, but I may want to install it when a new feature I'm looking for has been added to it.
Is there a site place such as Google play or Playboard that I can get an rss feed, email or another way of notification for certain apps?
EDIT: I am now aware of the defunct app "Changelog Droid" which is no longer maintained since January 2014. "*The app is currently not maintained. There is an (unlikely to be fixed) issue with paid apps. Please don't contact me in this regard.*" So a solution beyond that would be greatly appreciated.

But no such thing happens for hidden RSS links, whose presence is revealed via the RSS icon in the address bar. When I tap on that, I can only add the feed to Google reader. Then I have to import the link from Google reader. How can this be bypassed? I want to go straight to my preferred RSS app.

I've been searching and hoping to find an app for Android that syncs up with Google Reader and has one key feature. The feature I'm looking for is the ability to fetch the entire news article that you're reading. Certain websites (CBC News in Canada for example) allow you to "read more", however this opens a new browser instance to view the rest of the article. I'm looking for the ability to have that content scraped inside the application for reading.
Reeder for iPad has this functionality. Does anyone know of an app for Android that does the same?

I commute via subway and I like to read my RSS feeds on the train, but I don't have any network connectivity at that point and I find that most of them aren't sync'd.
I'm using the official Google Reader app on ICS on a Galaxy Nexus and I have the synchronize feeds option enabled.
Is there a way to have it sync much more aggressively? Any time I'm on Wi-Fi I'd like it to pull down absolutely everything that is unread in Google Reader.
Ideally I'd also like it to follow any links out of the feeds to webpages and sync those as well.
Is there a way of getting Google Reader to do this? Or is there an alternative to the Google Reader app that will do it?

How would you do that?

How to add Android StackExchange RSS feed to HTC news reader app
I've been trying to add https://android.stackexchange.com/feeds to my RSS feeds in the News application on my HTC Desire Z. However it doesn't "find" any results. I just want to add this URL as it is instead of searching for it. Isn't this possible?

I've noticed that for the last couple of days any time I open or refresh the Google Reader app (the official one from Google) it marks the last 200+ items that are in my feed as Unread (which it then syncs out to my account! So viewing them online shows the same unread count), and seemingly refuses to sync out which articles I have read (though it does seem to sync starred articles correctly.) I've made sure that syncing is turned on, but this doesn't seem to affect it one way or another. Any idea's for how to fix this behavior? Anyone else seeing it too?
Beyond that, I'd be open to suggestions for an alternate reader app. My wishlist is for one that allows me to easily star an article from the list, only shows me unread articles unless otherwise requested (sorry, Pulse) and preferably has a widget that notifies me when there are unread items.

High-density RSS reader widget
I've been trying to find a good RSS widget that maximizes the number of entries that will fit in 4x2 or 4x4, especially for titles or sites with short entries like headlines. Any good ones out there?
