My 2009 Mac Pro won't startup

Pressing the power button leads to a click then after a few seconds another click. Nothing happens, no chime, no sound of anything happening. Dead as a doornail. The startup drive is an OWC Mercury Electra 6G SSD. Is there any way to reformat it? Some kind of dock? All data has been retrieved. Is it worth getting it looked at professionally? TIA.
