I am using spacewalk 2.6 on a CentOS7 machine. I am trying to kickstart machine from the spacewalk server. For troubleshooting purposes, i have * disabled SElinux * no iptabled/firewalld I have tried creating an installable tree during the syncing of channel/repo of a CentOS7. After the distribution is added in spacewalk, is set the installer generation to Red Hat Linux 7. I have also mounted an iso of a netinstall iso of SL, and copied its content to the spcewalk server to create a distribution in Spacewalk I create a kickstart in the GUI of spacewalk, all fine and well. When i kickstart a machine, it fails because it cannot find LiveOS/squashfs.img. The file is there on the server, but the httpd gives an 404. I tried to widen the permission on the LiveOS folder in the kickstart tree but no dice.

Other variables, Python 2.6, Redhat 6.9 But when trying to update the EPEL repo (spacewalk-repo-sync) it fails at the end with a gzip error (file not a gzipped file) The manifest for epel is bz2 (updateinfo.xml.bz2). (I edited the error handler in gzip.py to dump the file name). See references to it googling, but no clean solution or work around. (beside upgrading Satellite which is not an option right now). Any thoughts? A different repo that uses gzip perhaps? Just a little stuck here and wouldn't be surprised if I was being myopic. Works fine with IUS and Redhats standard channels. Thanks.

I'm trying to get spacewalk to work with our Centos 7 servers and am encountering the below error when i run 'yum update'. i have set the server up to use the spacewalk server and spacewalk can successfully see the status of the system including what packages are installed. >failed to retrieve repodata/repomd.xml from centos7 >error was [Errno 14] curl#51 - "Unable to communicate securely with peer: >requested domain name does not match the server's certificate." the spacewalk server is using https but that shouldn't be an issue as all the appropriate certificates have been installed. (i think) has anyone encountered this error before? i've tried updating nss completely as i read an outdated nss package can cause issues, but this did not resolve the issue. any suggestions would be great.

My thoughts are: - Change selinux context type? - Is there any settings in the Apache config files that would turn this off?

I am trying to install spacewalk on CentOS 7 however i receive "Cannot locate RHN/DB.pm in @INC" error. It says compilation was aborted in spacewalk-setup line 33 which is "use RHN::DB ();". I tried installing RHN/DB with cpan however it gives me 404 error. What is RHN/DB ? It seems that it does not exist in google. What am I missing ? How do I install RHN/DB ?

Right now I'm just testing the process for some desktop machines I'll be managing so I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04.04 LTS. We have a non-satellite spacewalk server that I'd like to have available for the main admins for these machines to use to manage these machines. I'm trying to follow [the install guide](https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/RegisteringClients) and I'm running into trouble getting the client to install. The guide says "All core clients packages are already in Debian and Ubuntu." and to run an update followed by an install of two packages. The update works without issue but the install fails. Given how simple the problem is, I'm almost positive it's operator error. I know nothing about Ubuntu (or Debian in general) so it's possible I'm just misinterpreting the guide somehow. Is there something analogous to a yum repo that I need to enable to get access?

Can someone clarify if it requires a direct subscription from RHEL for downloading packages from their repositories. The statement from below link made me ask this question. https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/HowToInstall Red Hat Optional Server (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) When using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or 7, make sure you are subscribed to the appropriate Red Hat Optional Server channel: Red Hat Optional Server 6 , OR Red Hat Optional Server 7
