So when watching a YouTube video on my Fedora machine, the sound will cut out, and then a few second later a white loading circle will appear on the video. I suspect a related problem might be that when I try to listen to spotify, a similar problem arises where it says "The Current Song Cannot be Played" for every single song. These problems seemed to have cropped up since I moved the machine to a new office, so could a change in network cause them somehow? I also have noticed significantly increased lag. Relevant details: Browser: Chrome Headphones: Bluetooth (any) OS: Fedora 27 Thanks! UPDATE: I was able to fix my problem by reducing the number of bluetooth devices (wireless usb mouse, needed to use a wired keyboard, as for some reason even the wireless usb keyboard was causing issues.) and moving my tower so that it had a direct line to my headphones without going through my desk.

I installed a fresh OpenSuse TW system on my machine, and everything went flawlessly, except for YouTube. I installed the codecs with opi codecs; I enabled/disabled hardware acceleration and enabled/disabled media.hardware-video-decoding.force-enabled; I enabled/disabled layers.acceleration.force-enabled; I enabled/disabled gfx.webrender.all; None of these solutions worked.

Recently changed to linux (I'm using Fedora Workplace) whenever i play youtube videos, some work, but some don't, and give this error instead: The same videos will just never play, I can't seem to find patterns for which and why these videos don't work, and a way around it, already tried disabling ublock and didn't change, please help! Restarting the video is starting it from the beginning. How can I either directly in the command line start from, let's say, minute 30, or alternatively jump in the mpv interface to minute 30 *without* pressing 30 times the up button (which also has issues if done too fast)? When streaming videos on YouTube using firefox-esr and firefox, the video playback is choppy with an uneven frame-rate. CPU utilisation is high; 20% - 25% when streaming a 4K video on a Ryzen 5800X, as reported by tops. Internet connection is strong with 80Mbp/s. I am having trouble playing any video files on my desktop computer running Pop!_OS. I have managed to get VLC to play audio at the correct time, but the video is delayed. YouTube videos start but freeze at about a second into the video. Output from inxi -Fxz:

I have a text file contains about 50 song titles. I'm searching for a CLI utility that can take each title from the text file, search for it on YouTube, get the top 4 video links then download the audio of the link. So far I tried with youtube-dl, there is a search feature there but it only returns metadata and I can't seem to find the links of video in there.

I would like to find an application external to the internet browser that would play only youtube sound. Preferably a very light one, CLI or GUI.

The official tutorial https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/StreamingGuide uses the -pix_fmt yuv420p option. I used it too, copied it from the tutorial, and streaming from FFmpeg to Youtube works for me. However, it is not clear what it is for, and especially if it is a necessary option with Youtube, or if there is a better one. The Youtube documentation on the subject doesn't seem to cover this, or maybe it does but I haven't understood where: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en . Does anyone know of any accurate documentation on this?

Ignoring HTTPS certificates with an HTTP address or [a --no-check-certificate](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/337958/error-downloading-youtube-video-using-youtube-dl) also fails. The same YouTube link and syntax worked a few weeks ago. I upgraded to the latest version, 2020.03.01, and still have the same issue. Is anything the matter between YouTube and youtube-dl?

I'd like to broadcast a Linux server's console output on Youtube. This console is on a remote machine. I'll be running a trade bot on this particular server and I want my friends to be able see what my bot is doing, live. I searched for answers but still have no clue where to start.

I have tested some Linux versions for my kid's laptop. Old Samsung notebook, Samsung N10. I need do only one task: run youtube videos with no lag. Or setup an Android on it. I also tried RemiX-OS and Pheonix-Os, both don't load up. Works only 4.4. I setup also Android-X86 on that laptop, run Play Store app for youtube and all is working very fast. I tested with mint-xfce on browser. Videos is lagging in Chromium browser. Maybe there is app in Linux like on Android? Is Puppy Linux, smallest Linux distro can solve this problems? Any suggestions?

Looking at the output, it seems to be some problem with the TLS library, but I tried the same videos with VLC, and they played just fine. How can I solve this problem with mplayer?
