Access image file from home screen

I have Nexus 4 on Android 5.1.1, and I also have an image file with screenshot of my timetable. I'm trying to create a shortcut to it from the home screen. I've tried 4 separate apps that claim to be able to do this, but all of them crashed. Is there any way I can create this shortcut?
