I am riding motorcycles with a tablet mounted above the dashboard. I have connected the tablet to my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra via Bluetooth (BT) and enabled BT tethering. All works well until the phone goes to sleep and the connection disconnects. Is there a way to prevent that?
I would like to have the phone in my pocket but keep the BT internet sharing until I manually disconnect the tablet or turn it off.
It seems the internet sharing stays enabled but the S22 disconnects the BT connection to the tablet after about 2 minutes.
Reasons for not using WiFi hotspot - based on my research the overhead associated with WiFi hotspot is much larger, both in terms of battery life and bandwidth. In addition, different carrier plans do not allow the traditional WiFi hotspot but the BT Internet sharing works just fine.
