Why are Workflowy and Google Drive suddenly asking me to allow them to find devices on local networks?

I'm on a MBA, 2020 M1 model. About two weeks ago Apple replaced my corroded motherboard and did a fresh install of Sequoia. Everything has been working great. Today, when I fipped it open, I had two identical popup notifications on my screen, one for Workflowy (note: Workflowy is a task management app), the other for Google Drive. Both said, "allow [app name] to find devices on local networks." Both were small, "always on top" windows, and showed as belonging to "UserNotificationCenter" on Mission Control when grouped by application. Both have been installed and running on this computer for at least a week, and there was no discernible change in our network architecture or anything else I can think of. 1) How do I know if these requests are legit, given that they did not happen while I was using either apps? 2) Why would they be asking for this, now? I can envision scenarios in which Google Drive could need access to networked drives, but Workflowy? 3) Assuming that are legit, is there any reason not to allow?
