I'd like to be able to view my apple watch Activity data on my mac desktop or laptop. So for example, workouts, steps, etc, today, and for the last week, much like what I can find in the Activity app on the apple watch. I've logged into iCloud.com to see if it was there, but it's not, and I looked for an Activity app on my mac desktop, but don't see one. I've also googled this a bunch, and [found this suggested answer - not supported - on Apple's communities site](https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7867231#:~:text=Apple%20does%20not%20currently%20offer,Apple%20Watch%20on%20your%20Mac.) , but would love to find a third party solution to do this, if one exists. Is there anyway I can see some of my personal health data secured in the health app on my Mac?

Activity tracking when not wearing Apple Watch
Once in a while, I eschew my Apple Watch in favor of something else. On those days, I have no tracking of activities. However, iPhone supports at least some activity tracking on its own (specifically steps). Is it possible to have my iPhone track activities when I'm not wearing my Apple Watch?

The March Challenge in the iOS Activity app is making no sense. At the beginning of the month it started out telling me I needed 719 Calories a day. And my average at the start of the month was: enter image description here (Never mind the fact that I'm in Australia and my local setting is kilojoules, and that it should localise like every other app in the world does. Has no trouble showing me activity in kilojoules but the challenge can't show kilojoules?) Obviously that figure is wrong. First mysterious number right there. 20,263 kilojoules, would that even be possible? I decided I wanted to get this badge so I converted the required daily average (719 calories) to kilojoules and got 3008.3. So I set the daily move goal to 3000 and planned to exceed it. And I have been, getting to around 4500 a day. So if I exceed the daily average goal the calculated average should be trending UP, right? Not so. Now it tells me I am under the daily required average (today it reports 699) and the figure is trending down though I am still exceeding it by 50% a day and have been well above it all month. Possible explanations I have considered.... - the USA uses a different kind of calories from the rest of the world and my conversion of cal-kj is wrong (seems ridiculous but U.S. gallons are different to imperial gallons) - this challenge is as broken as February's - the decreasing daily figure shown is how much I would need to every day of the rest of the month? But then the ridiculously high figure from the start of the month makes no sense. - So can anyone explain this?

I just bought my first Apple Watch (Series 7) and headed to the gym to track my workout. It's fair to say I expected and actually made a mess as I was trying to figure out how to do this! 😄 It does not help that my workout seems a bit more complex than what the Apple Watch can either handle or communicate via its UI. My workout is basically this. Over a period of 3 minutes, do the following: - 200m of indoor running - 15kcal of skiing (Skierg) - Up to the 3 minute mark, rowing. - 90 seconds cooldown. - Repeat 6 times. I did try to follow the Apple Guide on how to Use the Workout app on your Apple Watch . Here are a few of the issues I faced and how I messed up the workout either by not tracking it completely or by having to mentally juggle the current set and time. - I couldn't tell how much time I had left in a set. I started a workout with 200m of indoor running. Tapped the New button to add the skiing however the time started tracking from 0. - Adding the rowing as an "open" activity, then stopping the workout once I hit the 3 minute mark, did not record the rowing. - Given the overall time (3 minutes) of the set wasn't recorded, I couldn't tell how much time I had to row without keeping track in my head of the previous activities. - Since rowing was an "open" activity, I didn't get an alert when I was at the 3 minute mark. I realise that I can setup a "timed" activity based on the seconds I calculated I need to but the amount varies, creating a new custom timed activity each time does get in the way. - I couldn't tell what set I was in. I know that I can double tap to mark a segment. My understanding is that this is per activity rather. Not sure how to mark a segment across the 3 activities. Every time I finished a "set", I would end the activity and start a 90 seconds timer before starting again. I know now that I can use a "cooldown" activity. Seemingly you can't have a cooldown based on seconds (i.e. 90) but hours/minutes instead. In any case, would adding a cooldown period be the way to do it? Thanks in advance for your help!

So football is burning double the number of kcal compared to a run, which does not seem right. Why is there such a big difference?

I'd like to fudge it since I could have easily spent two extra calories and, I'm pretty sure I exercised until it said I had completed my move and exercise goals, otherwise I would have kept going. Is there any way to go back and add in the two extra calories so that my move streak will continue? I guess it's not a huge deal but I'm kinda bummed and feeling betrayed. iOS is version 12.3.1, watchOS is version 5.2.1

All to no avail. The information from missing workouts is also not present in Health. So basically Watch now no longer can be used for its primary function. Can I connect an Apple Watch to my iPhone without syncing activity data? Or is there another way to roll back Activity data?

First, the problem: I accidentally entered a 25-hour workout manually instead of a 1-hour workout (I entered "yesterday at time X to *today* at time X+1", instead of "…to *yesterday* at time X+1"). I deleted it immediately, but the damage was done. This gave me thousands of unearned exercise minutes and has awarded me an unbeatable exercise record achievement, which are both really frustrating – I've been tracking my data for over a year now, and this really gets in the way of that. Unfortunately, after talking to Apple Support for over an hour, I learned that there really isn't a way to undo this. The exercise minutes haven't gone away, even though Apple Support said they were supposed to, and Apple Support said there's literally *no* way to remove achievements short of resetting my data completely. Except! The reason I'm in this pickle is that my Apple Watch actually basically died recently (or maybe not quite, some of the issue seems to be with the charger (that I've now replaced)) – it's barely charging (this might be cable-related), discharging quite rapidly, and basically isn't usable. However, it might be usable enough to connect to my phone and unpair from it, which would create a backup with the old, pre-disaster activity data. There's just one catch: as soon as I connect it to my phone, it's going to sync, importing the new data and breaking everything. Apple Support wasn't sure if there was a way around this. So that's my current situation. I have my phone and a borrowed Apple Watch with the post-disaster, thousands-of-exercise-minutes Activity data, and my old Apple Watch with the pre-disaster good Activity data. I want to import the data from my old Apple Watch and zap the data from the new Apple Watch. How can I do this? I'm also interested in other ways to solve this same problem – I'm under no illusions that I've thought about this completely enough to totally explore the problem space. But this is the best idea I've had. ------------------ In short: **Can I (1) connect an Apple Watch to my iPhone (2) without syncing activity data, then (3) unpair it to create a backup, and (4) restore another Watch from that backup, thereby (5) wiping out the past few days of activity data? Or is there a better way?** ------------------ Product versions: * *Phone:* iPhone 8+, iOS 13.5.1 * *Old watch:* Apple Watch Series 4, 44m, watchOS 6.2.8 * *New watch:* Apple Watch Series 5, 40m, watchOS 6.1 ------------------ I also asked this question [on Reddit in /r/applehelp](https://www.reddit.com/r/applehelp/comments/iabxwt/can_i_connect_an_apple_watch_to_my_iphone_without/) .

This means that I will be in the middle of a workout, trying to complete my Activity Rings for the day, and the activity will suddenly start counting towards tomorrow's "day". Going to the gym near midnight Is it possible to **change the hour on which the Apple Watch begins counting a new day**? I would like to move it to a time when I am most likely always sleeping, such as 4 AM. This would also be very valuable for people on non-standard schedules, such as a night shift. Apple Watch - Getting weight lifting to count towards "move ring"?
Is there any way to get exercise like weight lifting to count towards the "move ring" of the activity app. I realize it will count a small amount just from moving the wrist around, but some days I would like most of my calorie burn to come from weights and the basic app doesn't seem to cover this.

Now that I've seen the daily targets in the Activity app, I realise that the move/caloria goal (red ring) is too high. Can I change that? I've looked in a bunch of places, including the general *Settings*, *Health* settings, and *Activity* settings (all in the *Watch* app on the iPhone) - and the *Activity* app on the iPhone. But no luck. Additionally, can the three goals be changed independently?
