I wonder the following: How can I stop downloading but continue seeding with [BitTorrent on Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bittorrent.client&hl=en_US&gl=US) ? I use Pixel 6 + Android 12.

Is it possible to completely block torrents in android? I have tried to use many porn blockers like BlockerX, Remojo etcetera. I can block the torrent websites by blocking the keyword - 'torrent' .But there are many torrent search apps like Torrcrow and Torrent Revolution which can still fetch the torrent results. I also used SafeDns to block it but they all seem impotent. Can we block torrent downloading at system level? Like making it impossible for torrent client to connect with peers or disallowing the torrent search in different apps. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want to bolster self control that's why I need to implement this feature.

I tried to see how download is like on an Android phone, so I emailed myself a torrent file and then saved it in the Download folder. And then I tried both uTorrent and bitTorrent app. But it only has "Open the torrent on http://____________ ", or there is a search function that leads the user to do searching on duckduckgo.com There was no way to use a local torrent file in the Download folder. So I tried setting up a webserver on my Mac and then use http://128.0.1.123/try.torrent (something like that) but it could not load it. Duckduckgo.com led to some magnetic URL site, and I copied and pasted to uTorrent, and they cannot load either. Is it possible to make it work? I tried the LibreTorrent app and at least it can open a local torrent file and start downloading.

How can I download a torrent to the SD card using BitTorrent? I tried to go to Settings -> Default Download Folder, but I can't see to be allowed to browse to the SD storage location (see error below when I click on the back arrow): I use [BitTorrent](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bittorrent.client) .

In Play Store, there are two apps with almost same descriptions from same developer: [uTorrent](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.utorrent.client) and [BitTorrent](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bittorrent.client) . What's the difference between them?

I have installed [BitTorrent](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bittorrent.client) on my Xperia Z. While downloading I observed that it limits speed to 100-130 kbps max. It's same for all torrents irrespective of the number of seeders. When I tried from a laptop with same torrent and the same Wi-Fi connection, I get up to 2 MBps. Can anybody help?
