When initializing my new (not pre-owned) Samsung Galaxy S7 for the first time or for subsequent times after factory resets, the notification shade shows regarding the Lookout app: "Scan complete. 323 apps scanned - all safe. Get advanced protection today!" Tapping that notification makes it attempt to open a window, presumably for Lookout, but it closes immediately and then a grey bubble notification comes up stating: "Malware no longer exists on your phone." Regardless of whether this notification is tapped, Lookout triggers more notifications when other apps finish loading or have updates installed. For me, the next one is, "Scan finished: Google Play Store is safe. Click to activate total protection, or to change settings." Tapping these opens Lookout properly with a Lookout account login prompt. Does this mean malware is/was on my phone or was it merely a poor design choice of words for first-time initialization?

Is there any log where I can check which unknown source app is trying to access the phone without authorization? Lookout keeps popping up this message but don't tell me which application is! It happens whenever I connect to Wi-fi/3G. The application says that everything is normal after a scan. I don't want to remove all applications installed from unknown sources!
I couldn't get the message in english just switching the phone language, it only shows partially in english:

new Android user with the world's most low end tablet, Azpen A727. I'm enjoying learning about Android and have killed off most of the bloatware...but twice now "Baidu Browser" has been downloaded without my request. I'm using the bloatware security app Lookout now. Is there a way to find out what is requesting these downloads, stop it, or block it? I'm open to using a different security app.
Many thanks in advance.
