How come two Nokia 9 phones have the same model, phone service provider and location, but one of them insists there were no updates (neither security nor Android itself which should be 10, not 9, by now) after 2019? You can see Nokia had many security updates after 2019 . Neither taking out the sim card nor a factory reset helped with this. P.S. This phone is part of the Android One program, so it's even more concerning.

Until recently Gmail messages arrived to my Nokia 9 PureView instantly. But recently unacceptable sync delays appeared in the Google account, especially in popular services like Gmail. Nokia suggested to delete Gmail's cache and do a soft reboot (power+volume up), but it didn't help whatsoever. Likewise neither did Safe Mode. Their next suggestion - factory reset - was enough to send me here. If I manually click the 3 dots and choose to sync now, it solves it...for that moment. The following screenshot was taken at 18:30, almost half a working day after some of these syncs took place. WhatsApp, in comparison, syncs its contacts every hour without any misses. Can anything bring back the Google Account sync to what it used to be?

In Nokia 9 with Android 10, I set Settings=>Display=>Advance=>Screen timeout to 30 seconds, but I still like be aware when I have notifications waiting to be reviewed. In Settings=>Display=>Advanced there are Glance view options: The default Glance display duration is 30 seconds. But I like to see all of the notifications which I missed when I wasn't around my phone, so I've changed it to Always on...which got the screen to be constantly on! True, it's not "fully" on. It's a black screen with a clock and battery percentage. But is there any way to keep the screen completely off and only keep the glance screen on if I actually have notifications waiting to be reviewed?
