Yesterday, I rooted my Nook Simple Touch with NookManager after updating to firmware 1.2.2. However, after rooting the Nook, I can't install the NTGAppsAttack.zip file on my Nook. According to [this XDA post](https://xdaforums.com/t/app-nst-nstg-1-2-x-ntgappsattack-google-apps-installer-addon-for-nookmanager.2086582/) , it says that it will only install on firmware versions 1.20 or 1.2.1. And after putting the NTGAppsAttack.zip file on my NookManager SD card, the "Custom" option does not show in the NookManager extras menu. Is there an updated version of NTGAppsAttack available for firmware 1.2.2? UPDATE: I got the GApps installed on my Nook.

I can't find the stock reading app. I have 'Open with' available on the context menu but then the stock reading app isn't listed. 'File Associations' will also fail to find the stock app and the intent is being picked up by Aldiko. How do I get back to opening PDFs and ePUBs in the B&N stock app?

I have a Nook Simple Touch that is already rooted. I've used the Clockworkmod file that I downloaded from the XDA-developers website here . These are the steps I followed: 1. I connected my device to my laptop with the micro-usb cable. 2. I had access to my SD card. 3. I opened the terminal window and entered this command. sudo dd if=2gb_clockwork-rc2.img of=/dev/sdc 4. I rebooted into bootloader mode and it did not recognize clockworkmod. 5. I used adb commands to try to boot into the SD card. I was able to connect to my device but I was not able to get clockwork to load. I used these commands.
adb reboot-bootloader
adb reboot-recovery
adb reboot recovery
adb reboot bootloader|recovery
After more than five failed attempts I have preceded to this question. Is this all because I was using the micro-usb cable to burn the .img file to the SD card instead of using a SD card writer? If so how do I get it to boot into clockwork if the method of burning the image is the problem without getting an SD card reader.

How do I run a Google Calendar app on B&N Nook Simple Touch? I never had a Nook, but I'm interested in buying it to use as a dedicated e-ink wall calendar; I heard it can run Google Calendar; if it indeed does, then all I need is to run it once and leave it alone, given the screensaver is disabled. Making it autorun on startup would be even better. I have asked about disabling the screensaver [elsewhere](https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/74882/how-do-i-disable-screensaver-on-bn-nook-simple-touch) .

Nook simple touch screensaver in USB mode
I have uploaded my own screensaver to my Nook Simple Touch, but when I connect it to my computer via USB, the screensaver goes to one of the stock ones. Is there anyway to make it so that when in USB mode, my Nook displays my custom screensaver instead of stock?

How can I "wipe" my Nook Touch and install a "vanilla" version on Android and thus not run into anything specific to Nook? Reminder: this is regarding the Nook Simple Touch eInk device, not the Nook Color.

The notes are limited to 512 characters, but you can have an unlimited number of notes for a book. I currently work around the limit by highlighting a word, writing the note, then highlighting the next word and continuing the note. Is there a way to remove the limit of 512 characters, or increase it to a very large number? My nook is fully rooted, so I imagine it is a simple config file or sqlite entry somewhere, but I don't know where to look.
