WPS Office determines screen resolution incorrectly

I'm trying out [WPS Office](http://wps-community.org/) (version Alpha21 10.1.0.5672~a21). The first issue I'm running into is a display bug: the display is compressed horizontally (or elongated vertically, whichever). Only the document display is affected, the user interface part is fine.
This isn't a font issue: I see this with every font, and with figures. In the screenshot below, the blue rectangle is in fact a 1cm×1cm square, and the PDF output is correct.
On startup, WPS Office shows a “System Check” window which mentions
> System DPI is asymmetric. WPS Office may have display issues.
The “solution” link leads to http://community.wps.cn/wiki/dpix_not_equal_dpiy which is a broken link. If the solution exists anywhere on the web now, I can't find it (possibly because it's in Chinese only).

xrandr
output (that's actually 158dpi both horizontally and vertically, so whatever WPS Office is doing to determine the resolution, it's mistaken):
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 32767 x 32767
eDP1 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 309mm x 173mm
I use Sawfish without a destkop environment. [Fouad](https://unix.stackexchange.com/users/247050/fouad) reports that he has the same issue under XFCE, but not under Cinnamon.
How can I make WPS Office display document content at a correct aspect ratio?

I am trying to decrease the size of my .ppt presentations by converting them to .odp/.wps-format, since they take several GBs memory because of
- big pictures and
- audio content in slides.
I would like to store the presentations in smaller space without losing quality i.e. picuters and audio.
WPS Office
---
WPS office > Save as > jpg of every slide; which does a very good work in extracting the images; I have not found yet any terminal tool for the task of many .ppt files; the 2-month-old release is alpha but much more stable than the previous ones (> 100 Mb .ppt files) and can render much better .ppt files than LibreOffice presentation.
I already contacted the company about the task with a link to this thread.
I already sent a related question in their Linux Community of the application but they have not approved it yet here .
LibreOffice
---
I do when I have
soffice
in my PATH but get
masi@masi:~/$ ppt2odp test.ppt

I installed WPS with snap (my OS is Manjaro 20.0.3 "Lysia"), but when I run Spreadsheet the background is black, also the default font color in Spreadsheet and Writer is white color (It is a problem because the background of Writer is white).
I read in the arch linux wiki that the bad integration with dark themes of KDE is usual .
However, I don't know how to execute it with the command that they suggest. I also saw this , but it's the same. And I don't know how difficult things are having installed it from snap (the path to run this application is not in
bin/et
, /usr/bin/wps
or something like that).

I am running Manjaro linux KDE and am enjoying. But opening office & zip file is a pita for me.
Look the screenshot. My zip file opens by libreoffice (or WPS). And if I correct it in file properties to point it to open by ark, then office files start opening by ark. The file type seem to get added automatically. I can never open any zip or office file without right click.
Weird problem. I wonder if I am the only one too suffer from it. Though, no other filetypes are in conflict like this except zip and office files.
I couldn't find any settings/options to correct it. Duckduckgoing also doesn't give any post.
Any help input would be well appreciated. Thanks.

You have 777 .doc files where each .doc file contains a big Excel table, like one here and in Fig. 1.
Here, only consider one .doc file.
I want to divide the Excel table of .doc file into CSV files by any Unix programming language and/or scripting.
I cannot find a way to handle Microsoft fileformats into CSV files.
Pseudocode:
1. Extract Excel table from .doc file, which is expanded in the thread How to extract many .doc text + tabular elements into CSV by any Unix tool?
2. Split Excel table (maybe convert here already to CSV) into separate .CSV files by Rule:
> *new bolding indicates a new table* i.e. a new CSV file.
3. Apply implicit columns *Location* (bottom/top) and *Date* (dd.mm.yyyy) in the first two lines of the .doc file on the each separate CSV file. Use *Time* column (morning/evening/night).
Target files with their columns by Rule
1. Assisstants.csv - Name, Date, Location, Time
2. Other.Assistants.csv - Name, Date, Location, Time
3. General.csv - Event, Date, Location, Time
Fig. 1 Example of Excel Table in .doc file
OS: Linux Debian Stretch 9 and others
