I'm using my Android device to scan receipts for warranty receipts, or for expensive stuffs. I'm uploading the receipts to Google Drive which works well, except that it's a long process to scanning each receipt.
I open the Google Drive, enter the right folder, click the button for creating a new file, choose to take a new picture, take the picture, then rename the newly created file to something more fitting i.e. name of item or store name and date, and then enter my Gallery and delete the picture from the camera roll because I don't want it there.
Also, if possible, I'd like to crop the image, or even stitch 2 pics together if the receipt is too long.
Well, you get the picture. Is there a better way of doing this?

CamScanner A4 vs Letter pdf?
After I scan a document with the app CamScanner, how do I export it to a letter-sized pdf? When I share to my dropbox as pdf, it uses A4 dimensions and I can't figure out where the setting for this is.

I tried scanning the same document with CamScanner and there was no problem there. I recieved a normal image with no blue tint.
What should I do?

CamScanner - how to get image instead of PDF
I run CamScanner 3.2. In earlier versions, it used to save the image as a JPG (or PNG, don't remember), but with the latest version, it always seems to save as a PDF. I couldn't find any setting to make CamScanner save the scanned thing as a image file. Is there one?

I managed to scan several images, and save them as a single PDF, but when I email it Evernote requires the recipient to have an Evernote account:
I don't have this issue when I use [Evernote Scannable](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/evernote-scannable/id883338188?mt=8) on iOS 9.

I dont know whether my question is right to ask here. please advise me if I need to ask this kind of question at other areas.
I am investigating to find a right portable scanner to connect with an Android mobile phone (such as HTC Desire). After scanning a paper from a portable scanner, the mobile phone will receive the file as a pdf or jpg. That's it!
Would this be possible to do?
Thanks in advance.

I recently purchased a networked multifunction machine, and I was excited about its ability to scan via handheld devices using Epson's iPrint. Since I'm keeping the device in a different room from my computer, scanning via my tablet seemed much more useful than running from room to room, making adjustments.
However, I found Epson's android scanning app to be a bit... simplistic. It only scans preset document sizes, at preset resolutions, and only to jpeg or pdf, no lossless formats like png or tiff. I searched for alternative apps, and only found manufacturer specific options. My searching was complicated due to all the "scanning" apps that use the phone's camera, and scanning tools for network security.
So, my question is, does anyone know of any way to access shared, networked scanners and use the more advanced features that you see on desktops?

I have a Notes 3.
Stability would help of course, but don’t know exactly how to do that. What could help is if the photo is automatically taken when focus is achieved, perhaps with “retries” until it is OK.

Scanning with Android
There are a few apps that seems to act like document scanners? How do they work? Is it more than a lot of posprocessing of one shot? Are they actually "scanning" or utilizing more several shots? What kind of phone specs do I need to have quick and reliable document scanning?
