I managed to disable it in settings.
Now, how can I prevent the swipe-right screen, or how can I replace it with a better app?

Note if I click an empty spot, choose settings, and change from Google Discover to Samsung Free, then I can swipe to Samsung Free.
Neither restarting nor deleting both the data and cache of the Google app helped.
Eventually, updating to the latest security version solved it.
But if it happens again, what could fix it?

Opening items from the Google News feed using Firefox?
I'm using the Google News feed (swipe left from home) a lot. I tried looking through the options as well as the internet, but I haven't found a way to open these news items in a "custom" browser.
Is it possible?

Google Discover says "Something went wrong" - How to fix?
I'm on a OnePlus 9 Pro using Android 11 and version 12.47.14.23 of the Google App. I really enjoyed the Google Discover tab and would use it many times a day on the phone. A few days ago, it simply stopped working. When I swipe over to the screen now, I get the following error: [

How to change my "channels & interests" on an Android phone?

I have an Android phone and get some news based on my "channels & interests" when I swipe from the main Home Screen to the left. How can I add a new topic to these "channels & interests"?
I found this site which does not really help. In *Step 2: Choose what updates you get* it does not explain how to **add** a new topic. I only can view some list I can choose from.
Is there any way to really implicitly, directly and clearly add a new topic to that list?

I'm using the Google Launcher on my Huawei P9. Recently it's been updated so there is a Google feed of some sort when I swipe right from the home screen.
I've been through my settings and turned off as much as possible, but I still see weather and news. The weather doesn't bother me, but I consider it my right to choose if I'm being force-fed politically biased news or violent stories.
I could go back to the Huawei launcher, but my plans are to move to a Google phone in the future anyway. Not being able to turn off news would obviously mean I couldn't choose a Google phone for my future phone.
How to turn this off?

My Google cards are acting weird. 40% of the cards are in other languages which I have no clue of. It's sometimes Urdu, sometimes Russian, and sometimes god knows which one.

I have tried hitting "not interested" on several of these, but it keeps coming up in my feed. I'm pretty much sure that I have not changed any language and settings on my phone. I haven't had any recent app installs too.
Anybody help me with this?
