In the Google Meet app, I want to watch the presentation of the meeting, but I don't want to *hear* anything. I can't just mute people because that will mute them for other participants. I can't seem to find an output mute control or volume control in the app itself. I tried turning the volume all the way down on my Android device, but the volume slider won't go all the way to the bottom. Even if I set my device to silent, it doesn't seem to affect Google Meet. How can I mute Google Meet's audio *output* completely? If it matters, the device is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) (SM-T580).

asking for a friend. She has **Android** running on a tablet **Huwawei T8** which has **Quick App Center** installed for **Google Meet**. It works perfectly fine for google meet meetings and it can view screen shares from other devices. The only problem is that if it is the Host and attempts doing the Screen Sharing, it will not work. Pressing Screen Share will do nothing with no error messages. I've done some googling and found out that you definitely have to give Quick App Center the Storage and Microphone Permissions, but despite giving it ALL permissions (i.e Camera, Location, Calendar, etc) in the Privacy Settings it is still not working with NO error messages. So we are in the dark. Any ideas what we are missing?

This seems to be quite an edge case, as I can find no information on this. **Context** We have a regular "coffee chat" meeting in our group, and we use a Google Meet URL for this meeting, always the same, and we meet at known times a day. No need to have a calendar entry for this. So, on the desktop computer, I can always easily reuse the URL (e.g. such one: https://meet.google.com/abc-defg-hjk) like described [here](https://support.google.com/meet/answer/9303069?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop) . **Problem** But now I am mostly using my Android Tablet to join, and I wonder how to set up a Home Screen icon/widget/link with that URL. I can use Google Chrome to paste the URL into, but it will automatically start the Meet app. I have no chance to create a shortcut link first. Also, I have not found yet a way to create a link directly from the home screen. **Question** How to create a home screen icon/link/widget that directly opens a given Google Meet URL?

I'm using a Samsung M21 with android 11. The audio quality decreases when im in a call on google meet. I use a wired earphone. this also affects other media like YouTube. the media volume also decreases. this issue didn't exist with older android versions(like android 7). I can use my laptop where's no such issue, but it would be great if I could just use my phone.

I am using screen recording to record Google Meet on phone. Unfortunately, the recording cannot record audio. It shows an error that the microphone is on used. Any way to record Google Meet on phone? I am not the organizer.

I (seem to) have installed the [Meet Attendance](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/meet-attendance/nenibigflkdikhamlnekfppbganmojlg?hl=en) Chrome extension for Google Meet by claycodes.org from Chrome Web store from my Android phone. The site responded by messaging that it has been _added to the desktop_. But I find that the feature is not enabled when I start Google Meet on my Android phone, because I can not see the *checkbox icon* representing "Meet Attendance" during the Google Meet session. Can I have this feature enabled so that I can use it on my Android phone?
