I want to sync some pics from my phone onto my laptop but I can't since the drop down notification bar is not showing. This means I can't turn on the USB to connect to my laptop. I have hard reset my phone back to factory settings and it still won't show. I've been trying for 5 hours now and I can't work out how to get it to connect to my laptop.

Can i sweep the storage. Is this data i don't want or the data that runs my phone. Not sure exactly what my huawei phone stores in storage. Whats miscellaneous?

I rooted my Huawei Ascend Y330 using King Root (verified it with Root Checker). The problem started when I was trying to install AdAway and Xposed Framework. They both are unable to edit files. I already tried to change permissions with Root Explorer / Root Browser, but I keep getting the same error. I have Huawei Y330-U11 which performs sluggishly due to Emotion UI installed by Huawei (I concluded it to be the reason because other phones having similar specifications but native Android UI works quite well). Can anyone let me know how to get rid of Emotion UI? And, how to root and upgrade to Lollipop?
