I have a new Nokia 3.1. It immediately wanted to download updates, which it did successfully. Now I have a notification that I can't get rid of to "Complete setup by installing apps". When I touch it, I get this: I can't seem to deselect these. How do I NOT download them, and not be bothered by the offer any more?

So let's say I have got a split screen 3D video. My Google search results told me that if I just play it in VLC in my Nokia 3 and use a VR headset, I will get 3D experience. However when I play 360 degrees VR videos from Google, they are distorted and not rectangle in shape. So I am afraid that when I play rectangular side by side 3D videos, the videos will be distorted and the sides will be missing. So what should I do to convert the side by side video to the distorted VR like video? Is there any app or something? I have not tried them yet as my VR headset has not yet arrived but I want to have everything ready as soon my VR arrives. I got my Nokia 3.1 in a bit of a weird situation trying to flash the stock ROM. I feel like it's a lost cause, but since I can still boot in recovery mode, there may still be a solution, I will explain in case someone can help. It started when I tried to update from Android 8.0 to 10.0 (none of the previous OTA updates had worked and would always reboot in Oreo 8.0). This time, it didn't work and got the phone stuck in a boot loop. The phone is still under warranty, but because I bought it overseas and there's no Nokia care centre here is New Zealand, I had no option but trying to repair it myself. A wipe/factory reset didn't help, but after changing the active slot from B to A (using fastboot), it booted again in Oreo 8.0. Only problem is that I could no longer start a fresh Oreo 8.0 install without updating first and since all updates failed, I was stuck. I suspect slot B is damaged or corrupt, hence the impossibility to update. To check it, I switched back the active slot to B after a factory reset, and that was not a great idea, the phone wouldn't even boot and looked hard-bricked. But I still managed to use SP tool to download firmware, so I did that with the original Nokia 3.1 stock ROM (ES2). However, I could not flash all files, I'm not too sure why. I had the error message: ERROR: STATUS_SEC_INSUFFICIENT_BUFFER Verified boot is enabled Please download signed image (sutinfo-verified.img) or disable verified boot I didn't know how to do either of these, so I skipped the three problematic files: sutinfo.img, systeminfo_a.img, and cda_a.img (not sure what they do?). It worked and un-bricked the phone, but it now boots to recovery mode only. What puzzles me is that I also no longer have access to fastboot, even when I reboot to bootloader (as if it skipped bootloader and went straight to recovery). I suspect it is because it still boots on slot B but I don't know how I can check that or change it back to slot A without fastboot access. I tried using adb: adb shell getprop ro.boot_suffix but although it can see the device, it failed because it says device is unauthorized. I've tried all the fixes for this I found, to no avail. So that's where I am, able to boot to recovery (but with adb unauthorized), able to flash firmware (except those files that must be signed), and unable to access fastboot. I'm giving up hope that it's repairable, but I'd love to at least understand what happened, if someone has any idea... Sorry for the long story...

i successfully installed twrp but on twrp reboot i selected system and now on opening nokia 3 it goes to twrp. Only twrp can be opened not the OS (normal boot) of nokia 3. I tried flashing stock rom of nokia 3 with sp flash tools but on starting or booting phone , it will not detect nokia 3 and red and yellow bars does not appear. so how to flash stock firmware when i am stuck boot looping in to Twrp. Any other way if possible please describe.

I have a Nokia 3.1a (from Walmart), and it appears to be basically running stock android. Overall it seems to work well other than two annoyances. Can't go back to 3 buttons, stuck with gesture interface. And the annoyance that this thread is for. The mobile hotspot feature works as long as the screen is turned on. As fun as it is setting the screen to time out after 30 minutes, I would love it, if it would stay on while the screen was off. I thought maybe the wifi chip was turning off. Google has hidden the "wifi on during sleep" setting, so using ADB I can confirm that wifi_sleep_policy is 2 (always on). Also, under advanced settings, I have the timeout if no devices connected set to "never". Any help would be appreciated!

there are guides on rooting and it first requires to unlock bootloader on nokia3, at first i did do it but due to some issue i had flash firmware ,after flashing back there was a option available of oem unlocking . So do i have to unlock bootloader even if i had oem unlocking option available in settings and also can you tell on starting device i get red state warning is it a big issue or should i ignore it.

by using sp flash tool i installed TWRP on nokia 3 phone and using fastboot loader i can open TWRP but i can not normal boot , when trying to boot normally only android logo appears. Is it possible to open in normal boot.
