Chromium OS says "Your system is repairing itself. Please wait" and then reboots
I downloaded ChromeOS-Vanilla-3851.0.2013_03_17_1641-r7af8fe3d.zip from chromeos.hexxeh.net, then extracted and "burned" to a 4GB USB drive with `dd if=ChromeOS-Vanilla-3851.0.2013_03_17_1641-r7af8fe3d.img of=/dev/sdb bs=4M`. .
I can *boot* it on my main computer, a Dell OptiPlex GX620, but I can't use it due to connectivity problems (see this question if you want to help.) I can, however, get it booted and working on the Netbook, which is a Toshiba NB255.
I recently got a Laptop, it has no battery, and when trying to boot Chromium OS on it, it says "Your system is repairing itself. Please wait." and then reboots. I let it keep cycling for literally an hour, then decided that it was, in fact, *not* actually repairing anything. What am I doing wrong? The laptop is a Dell Inspiron B130.

Can't move tabs in Chromium -- it always moves to a new window
I'm on Arch Linux running Chromium Version 97.0.4692.71. When I click a tab to try to move it left or right, it always moves to a new window. This started happening today after I ran a system upgrade last nite: `yay -Syyu`. The same tab problem happens in Brave web browser. But not in Firefox.

Is it possible to have command-line access to Google Drive from the crosh shell? Conceivably, something like:
cd ~/'Google Drive'
In my current environment Developer is enabled so I've got root access to ChromeOS.
The Files App is a useful GUI, but I'm looking for command line access to the same file systems. Something I can run scripts from, cd, ls, etc.
If not native to ChromeOS, then is there a mounting utility that could be used in ChromeOS for command-line access? I realize there are several options such as google-drive-ocamlfuse, prasmussen/gdrive, skicka, etc.

My Samsung Galaxy Book 10.6" has an issue on Linux based OSes (Ubuntu 17,18,19, Debian and ChromiumOS) where the digitizer (touch screen input) does not match the display - tapping the top right corner will trigger an action on the bottom left, for example.
On regular Linux distros (such as Ubuntu where I did most of the troubleshooting) this is fairly easy to fix as I can use xinput to change the rotation matrix of the digitizer, but I am using ChromiumOS which does not use X (it uses freon instead)
I've tried adding
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="fbcon=rotate:1"
to my startup parameters but that doesn't seem to have any effect on any of the OSes I've tried.

I have just installed Chromium OS on an old 32bit Samsung N130 netbook.
I used the latest 32bit image (60.0.3112.102) from Arnold the Bat.
Using the lscpi command , I found that it has the Realtek RTL8192E/RTL8192SE Wifi NIC which is listed as supported in the release notes.
When I try to switch the wifi on using the normal settings it just doesn't go on.
Having looked into this, I found that this chipset had given problems for people with this laptop before in other Linux distributions. I have encountered similar problems in the past trying to get Broadcom WiFi to work when installing Ubuntu or Debian on older Apple hardware and it could be fixed by installing an application to extract the firmware and install it e.g fwcutter
I know that Chromium OS is Gentoo-based and I do not know the best way to proceed to check if the right driver is installed and to make sure that the wifi can be activated. I have read that Gentoo is for more advanced users and I miss apt-get!
When I next get the chance, I will try installing Ubuntu, saving the /lib/firmware folder and then reinstall Chromium and merge the firmware folder with the Ubuntu one. It might work...

I am really new to linux but I need Chromium's depot tools to download WebRTC's source code.
Anyway, I have been trying to download it by following the instructions on their website .
However, it always gives me an error on the command "gclient sync" and even "fetch"
I have Python and git installed so those cannot be the reason.
I have read that I must build this shell script --->
build/install-build-deps.sh
so I tried, and it gave me an error halfway through.
I am really losing my mind over this, I have been trying for a week and then found another link .
And here comes the other question, do I have to get the entire code of the Chromium project? There has got to be a mistake somewhere.

**I want to ask based on today's trend for mobility, such as android, is Gentoo development catching up with today's popularity, if not what would be equivalent to Gentoo?**
Looking at Linux Distro from Wikipedia, the timeline based on initial release over 10 years are Slackware, Debian, FreeBSD, Gentoo. But the Gentoo hasn't been growing in its popularity since then. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_distribution
The equivalent closest to Gentoo I have seen in Wiki page is Chromium OS,
> "designed by Google that primarily runs web applications, using Gentoo
> as its foundation." - Wiki
However, though, nothing seem to have mentioned in particularly about Gentoo OS in Chromium Website. The relatable term I can see is "Portage", which is Gentoo's Package Manager.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium_OS
**My next question is could Chromium OS be the future Gentoo-alike OS based on future key trend of mobility?**
