My mobile carrier is upgrading their network from 3G to LTE. I'm using a LG V20 phone, model LG-H915 to be precise. So far, I have been contacted twice by them, claiming that my phone and SIM card should be replaced because of this. They have even offered me a new phone, but I have declined since the model they offered is a cheap one.
There are good reasons to change for a new device, that's true. For one thing, my current phone is running Android 8, which is, well, very outdated to put it mildly. The battery, which is the original one as I never replaced it, seems to be draining a bit faster as well, but it's hard to tell.
However, I'm not sure about the network thing. I did a bit of research, and as far as I understand, the V20 does support LTE, so I should be fine with the new network. In fact, when I activate mobile data (I usually keep it deactivated unless I actually need it), I see a LTE logo appears, and if I check in the phone's settings, it actually says that the network is indeed LTE.
From Settings->Network->Mobile Networks :
From Settings->General->About Phone->Network :
So, do I understand this correctly and in fact do not actually need to change phone (well, not because of the LTE network, anyway)? Or is my mobile carrier correct about this?

I am having a problem in which the phone randomly loads different "sets" of pictures - sometimes current photos disappear and older pictures reappear, etc. It's almost as if there are 2 root drives/internal storage that the phone randomly load.
If you see the attached screenshot below, there are 2 pictures folders of the same name under root/sdcard (Pictures and PICTURES -- I don't understand how there can be 2 folders with the same name so this is already strange).
" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy">
When I open either of these folders, it leads to the exact same folder (see the screenshots below). Note the folder names are both "pictures" technically. I think this may somehow be related to the problem.
" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy">
" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy">
Some days when I boot, it will just load an "older" pictures folder w/ different picture count - pictures that I've stored in the past. When that happens, my current/recent pictures will all disappear and the older set is the only thing visible.
For example: right now it shows 14 files in Instagram, 3 files in Kakaotalk, 0 files in others as you can see in the screenshot.
When my older set loads, it will a whole different set of pictures, with no pictures overlapping from the above. (see below)
" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy">
I can't seem to find the trigger that reliably reproduces loading of either set - although, once I remember the phone was suddenly not reading any pictures from the instagram's gallery function so I manually ran the media scanner, when the phone loaded the older set instead.
Anyone have any ideas?

How can there be two separate Android System under "Running services"?
My Verizon LG V20 (Android 8.0) appears to be running two Android Systems at the same time, but, I'm pretty sure that isn't possible. Am I wrong on this or am I seeing things? Also, the timing between the two appears off by about 4 seconds. Just seems pretty odd to me. [ ][1] [ ][2] [ ][3] [1]: http...
