US Mobile SIM card inserted. Calls and SMS work. Mobile data does not work. When I go to the APN settings it shows "Access Point Name settings are not available for this user". "Add" option is greyed out. "Reset to default" option under three dots is greyed out. So, it seems like Verizon prohibited using their phones with other carriers even after unlocking them? Any ways to solve this issue? NO root, BL not unlocked. Thank you!

I'm using a Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 phone from Verizon. There is an icon in my status bar that looks like a finger pointing at 3 horizontal lines. ![Screenshot](https://i.sstatic.net/f7UbW.png) ([Full screen screenshot](https://i.sstatic.net/TqhOn.png)) I can't find anything online, and no one at Verizon or Kyocera can identify it either. I need help figuring out what this icon is and what it means. I have contacted Verizon Tech's, Kyocera, and personally searched online, with no positive ID. Deleted all apps, factory reset, and even safe mode start up, and the icon remains at the top of the screen in the status bar. The only time the icon is not at the top of the screen is when you click on the drop-down for the status bar icons. Glove mode nor the underwater camera mode have any effect on the icon when switching these two selections on or off. Can anyone identify this icon? Any information on what this is would be greatly appreciated.

The next window "Save Conversations" shows a default file name (which I can change if so desired). Then I click Save and that window closes and it returns to the Conversations window. If I long click again and go to "Save Conversations", it shows the file I saved. Screenshot I want to know where this file is on the filesystem or be able to send that file in an email. As it is, I can only Restore, which is not what I need. Looking in the file browser, I do not see this file in Downloads, or anywhere. The mobile service is Xfinity/Verizon. I called them and they were not able to help Device: Pixel 6a Android version: 14

I bought 2 Moto G Play 2023 phones off of eBay and I want to use them only with WiFi for development purposes. So I turn them on, and a little red bubble that says Hello pops up, and then a Verizon logo pops up. Then it goes to the screen with the Start button. I click that, then it wants me to insert a SIM card. There is no skip button, and when I try all the secret number codes in the Emergency Call section, they all are blocked saying that it is not an emergency number. There are some stickers on the back of the phones. Please ask me if you need them. So can someone please help me with this? Thanks! P.S. It runs Android 12.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 (Verizon) phone. Contacts that I blocked create new telephone numbers online to call me constantly. I want my normal unblocked contacts to ring (family, friends, doctors, others). My goal is for all numbers not in my contact list to go to voice mail before the ring. So I can use my device normally without the distraction of unknown callers. Research shows: - Airplane Mode inhibits the full use of my phone. - Do not Disturb limits my notifications. - Spam blockers do not block the new numbers people create. - Premium voice mail only works on a known contact (I have this). - Block from the phone or the website only works on a known contact number. - Setting a ringtone only works on a contact already in the list. - Changing my number is only temporary so not an option. Many solutions have to do with a known number to manipulate. An unknown number is the bane of my existence. Can anyone help?

This afternoon it started saying the password changed and wanted me to put the new password in, but I did NOT change my password. So I have no clue. This isn't the first time this has happened. I don't remember what fixed it the other times. Is it a Verizon issue or my account or my phone? So frustrating to keep hearing the notification over and over.

Do i need to edit the kernal to change the baseband someone at the phone shop suggested editing the Build Prop is this correct ? and if so how does one go about this. The apk's listed below keep reinstalling no matter how many times i reinstall FW,wipe etc. it leads me to believe it is malware. I've had Verizon's Samsung Note 5 for about 1.5 years. I don't have (and don't really want to pay for) an unlimited data plan so I use cellular data sparingly and use my home WiFi when downloading apps, updates, etc. This morning I discovered my phone had, on its own, downloaded the Android 7 system update using my Verizon cellular data. Previously, the phone would only check for system updates and then notify me that an update was available for download (at which point I would use my WiFi to download the update) How can one prevent Android from using the cellular network to download system (Android) updates without permission? (I tagged this as Marshmallow since that was the version that had the auto-download bug in it, but I want to know how to prevent auto-downloading of system updates in Android 7.0 also)

Its come to my understanding that Verizon gets information about how you use your phone reported back to it. Information such as "Amount of data used for Facebook, Snapchat, Netflix" etc. I know Verizon can always see the amount of data I used, but I'd rather keep the specific content/origination of the data private. A friend told me that I can "root my phone and disable that reporting" but I didn't get all the information. I wanted to ask this community: 1. How to disable reporting back (hopefully without rooting the phone) 2. If rooting is required, what the most effective way of accomplishing all this is? For some reason, googling around for this issue has given me no information! (I am a bit shocked at that as I figure it'd be a hot topic now-a-days). FYI - In case you are curious, I do feel how I use data is a private matter and unless a company issues a warrant, should not look at the type of traffic I carry. Its just a principal I live by. Note - Just in case, I am sure Verizon isn't specifically sniffing my packets. My concern is Verizon seeing things like: 100 Mbs on Facebook 200 Mbs on Snapchat 500 MBs on Netflix etc It just feels weird to me that they can see this information. I'd like to disable that reporting. Lastly: I'm using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 running KitKat 4.4.2, Kernel vs 3.4.0.

I have an LGVS995S on the left using Tracfone which is probably on Verizon towers and an LGVS986 on the right using Verizon Prepaid which is definitely on Verizon Towers. They both stopped allowing me to wirelessly tether at the same time and give the exact same message. The LGVS986 on the right was allowing me to wifi-tether as recent as yesterday. I hadn't tried with the LGVS995S in about a month, but it's never failed to tether until now. I just wirelessly tethered my iPhone 11 Pro which is also on Verizon Prepaid without problems. I would think this must be related to the carrier somehow, but how, why and what can I do? enter image description here

When using my Verizon HTC Thunderbolt running CyanogenMod to call my wife's Verizon HTC Incredible, also running CyanogenMod, it always goes straight to Voice Mail. I can call other Verizon phones with no issue and my wife can call me with no issue and my wife can receive calls from other Verizon lines with no issue and she can call me with no issue. Issue is only from my phone to hers. I called Verizon and they said it is not a network issue and suggested an installed application might be causing the issue. They suggested to put both phones into Safe Mode boot. I was able to do this for Incredible, but failed using the directions they provided for the Thunderbolt. They said after boot starts, hold down volume down key for boot process on Thunderbolt. How can I debug this issue of my phone going straight to Voice Mail? What would cause just my phone to experience this issue? Any advise and suggestions would be appreciated.

Samsung decided to take away the AM/PM indication in the status bar clock, likely to save space for the "hole punch". They didn't even see fit to make it an optional toggle. My web searches have returned no result apart that people other than just myself rely on it being there. Does anyone here have a solution of any kind? The key here is the ability to note the meridiem at a glance from any screen Also: Yes, I know the "Always On" screen has faces that include AM/PM. That doesn't quite work for what I need. And **please**, don't respond with "why can't you just look out the window?" like somebody in every other forum I've searched. Some of us don't *have* windows or operate on a normal human schedule.

I'm using Verizon as a provider, so might be able to leverage their cloud, though I am not sure if that's an option. I'm wondering if anyone else has done this before, and / or knows of a standard way to go about it.
