Today, I (very briefly) spotted a new icon in my status bar on Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It looked like a little person icon (head and shoulder, silhouette kind of thing) with sound waves on the right (like a WiFi signal but horizontal). It was only there for a second, so I wasn't able to get a screenshot but will definitely try if I see it again. I haven't come across this icon in the 8 or so years that I've been using Android, and I can't think of any obvious app that it would be for. I haven't installed any apps in the last week or so either. If it helps, I was on my Galaxy Note 9 on Oreo (8.1.0 / Samsung Experience 9.5), it is rooted (Magisk) and has Xposed installed. Any help identifying this icon is greatly appreciated and I'll update if I manage to get a screenshot.

Basically I am logged into my Google account. Every Google service works great. Except two-step verification. - I get the "notification" in Chrome for example when I sign in on a new PC. All great. - The phone makes a notification sound, the two step verification pops up. - I tap "Yes", I get a toast notification "Approved".... and nothing happens. What could cause this and how could I fix this?

I have added user certificates, but Android do not let me delete most of them. How did I add the certificates: - Open the setting drop down menu - Go to *Biometrics and Security* -> *Other Security settings* -> *Install from Device Storage* - Enter the pin - Type a name for the certificate - Choose if it is used for *VPN and apps* or *Wi-Fi* 1- If I add it as a *Wi-Fi* cert, then I can see it in the list from the *User certificates* menu, but it is not present in the list from *View Security* certificates. This kind of certificate do not let me delete the certificate later. 2- If I add it as a *VPN and apps* cert, then I see it both in the list from the *User certificates* menu, and also in the list from the menu *View security certificates*, at the tab USER. Only from this tab I can delete the certificate. I cannot delete from the menu *User certificates*. In both scenarios the CA certificate has no effect. The certificate has been tested in other different machines, working fine, and it has the flag *CA=TRUE*. Then, my questions are: a- How to delete the *VPN and apps* certificates I've ended up adding many duplicates b- How to get the CA certificate to properly work? I am testing it with Firefox, Firefox Focus, and Chrome. *Android version 10, running on Samsung Galaxy note 9.*

Hear myself in headset during call?
I have this issue when using earbuds. When I talk on the phone, since the buds are plugged into my ears, I can't hear my own voice and I find myself shouting. Is there a way to configure Android so that I can hear my own voice thru the headset? I'm on a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, with Android 10.

Samsung decided to take away the AM/PM indication in the status bar clock, likely to save space for the "hole punch". They didn't even see fit to make it an optional toggle. My web searches have returned no result apart that people other than just myself rely on it being there. Does anyone here have a solution of any kind? The key here is the ability to note the meridiem at a glance from any screen Also: Yes, I know the "Always On" screen has faces that include AM/PM. That doesn't quite work for what I need. And **please**, don't respond with "why can't you just look out the window?" like somebody in every other forum I've searched. Some of us don't *have* windows or operate on a normal human schedule.

I was looking at some picture that had mainly white background and noticed that there is a certain ghost screen that was layered on top of it. I edited a picture to try to bring out as much as possible. From what I can actually see on the phone, it looks like the image of a whatsapp conversation as i can see the letters at the bottom of the screen as well as the typing bar with the camera on the side and the go back button in top left. I tried to take screenshot but it doesn't show on the screenshot. Could it be the screen burning up? In terms of actual color its between a brown / orange, copper like. enter image description here

Samsung "My Files" Downloads folder corrupted on non-rooted phone

On my Note 9 unrooted phone, for whatever reason, if I delete files from the **"Downloads"** section of the My Files app, these files (or references to them) aren't completely removed. A residual "0 byte" file with no name and a time date stamp of "December 31, 1969 4:00pm" is leftover. Also, these residual files can't be moved or deleted. This ***Downloads*** section seems to have a relation to the /emulated/0/Download/ folder... although, not the same thing. If I delete the *"Download"* folder, the *"Downloads"* section remains unaffected. In the Windows OS world, I would just run chkdsk to quickly fix the corrupted file indexes on the file system. However, I'm not sure what the equivalent is for an unrooted Android OS. Things I've tried: 1. Wipe the cache partition 2. Delete the /emulated/o/download folder and recreating it again. 3. Force Stopping the My Files app, clear cache, clear data. This is supposed to be similar to clearing the app cache for 'Media Storage' app on non-Samsung Android devices I **REALLY** don't want to factory reset my phone, considering how much time I spent configuring all my applications... unless I have absolutely no choice (and know for sure it would fix this issue). This issue is completely over my head. I'm hoping an Android expert will know what to do in this case without having to do a factory reset. **Maybe, I can do something via ADB shell?**

I'm going to be attending an event as a representative of a semi-professional podcast. I will be interviewing several people but, it is a long, busy event with no area for formal interviews, so I will be using my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 9) with an external microphone to save space. In discussion with the podcast host it was suggested that we try to set up a "live feed" so that he can give any input during the interview. The "live feed" isn't too much of an issue as I am capable of streaming content from my phone. My main concern is being able to hear him over the crowd, usually a Bluetooth earpiece would solve this. However, I'm not sure if an external microphone plugged into the headphone Jack port would override the earpiece as the microphone. Does anyone have any experience using both a Bluetooth earpiece and a Jack microphone simultaneously? If nobody has tried this before, is it even theoretically possible?

No matter what I do, the wrong time shows at the top of my screen. My service provider displays the correct time below that, but this messes with my alarms and locks screens. HOW do I fix this? I have tried several "fixes" for android clock app but it would seem my note 9 is different as I can't find instructions that will work with my phone.

What I liked from Nexus 5 it was notifications for upcoming alarm clock which is missing in Note 9. I tried to install Google Clock and it works as on a Nexus 5. What I am not able to solve is how to set Google Clock the default app in Note 9. I have noticed that I can't uninstall or even disable the Clock app which comes with Note 9. I want do do this because I want that Google Assistant to use Google Clock to set alarms and not the default Clock.
