I have this problem since updated my Whatsapp to latest version where at random time it will crash and display a notification saying: It happens so many times throughout the day. I have a rooted phone. And when that happens I can see that my

.db

from

/data/data/com.whatsapp/databases

is completely gone others like

.db

,etc are left untouched. I have backed up my

.db

somewhere in my phone and I can just copy that to the

/data/data/com.whatsapp/databases

no problem, but sure enough sometime in the day same error pop up and my

.db

got wiped. The easiest way to trigger this error by simply back up my chat in the settings and enable google drive upload, when the local backup complete and the backup showing "preparing google drive backup..." The Whatsapp just simply crash. I have tried reinstalling whatsapp and setting the chown like in https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/169607/restore-whatsapp?rq=1 but that doesn't work. I even tried setting SELinux to permissive and have no luck. Do app crash logs/reports contain user data from the app, such as note contents from a note app? And if there is a full android system crash or kernel panic, is that log saved to the phone including a snapshot of memory at the time or is it sent anywhere? Thanks!

just downloaded some mp3 files and needed to move them from downloads to my music folder. not sure if its because of the new system update, but for some reason there is literally no option to move, copy, share - nothing. just move to secure folder. i tried that but all you can do is move the files out of the folder once theyre in so that was worthless. i can select them or select them to edit or select them to share. no options come up except 'move to secure folder' or 'compress'.

I'm asking this question as an end user. All of the sudden every x hours an exception is shown on my phone for a brief moment. Something along the lines of could not get x coordinate bla bla. So I guess 1 of my apps needs location permissions but doesn't have them (anymore). I'd like to get rid of the exceptions. However they also show on the home screen, so it's probably a background app. How do I identify which one?

I get this error whenever selecting any choice for permissions prompts in Chrome Dev. No results on Google, XDA, or here; Google has a similar but irrelevant hit for Hwaiwei devices (something to do with a trackball, which this phone does not have). I've checked all permissions, can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this? whenever I try to login using a google account, no matter the application, I get stuck in a page with "Checking info..." and an activity indicator, just nothing happens. Also, when I try to open the Play Store I get a never ending blank screen so I can't download any app nor update the ones I already have on my mobile. What I already tried: 1. Suspending account synch. 2. Clearing cache and data for Google Play, Google Play Services, Google Frameworks. 3. Uninstalling updates for Play Store, which anyway failed with unknown error. I'm running Android 8.0 on an European (Spanish) Galaxy S7 Edge.

Installing an application from the Play store fails to download, a brief message states > "please open my apps to establish a connection with the server" Search and update work as expected. Only downloading fails. *This issue pertains to any application on both Wifi and cellular networks. Restarting the phone or connection (e.g. Toggling flight mode) fail to resolve this particular occurrence of the issue (but worth trying first!). Also if it was a generic connection issue search and update would likely be impacted. Hope this helps someone in the future.*

I have installed a Custom ROM (AOSP 7.1.2) on a Samsung tablet. It is rooted, and also has gapps (pico). Most everything works - except, when I installed both versions of Firefox for mobile - Fennec and IceCat (both via F-Droid), and the installation was successful (though neither of them asked for any permissions). However, when I start either of them, they simply start as a white screen, and ... nothing happens (Fennec occasionally crashes after a few seconds of white screen, I have not seen IceCat crash so far, it just keeps at the white screen). I captured a bit of logcat - first fennec is started, then icecat - it has been pasted here: https://pastebin.com/ijGSr8X0 Would anyone have any idea as to why specifically these two Firefox apps start with nothing else but a white screen; and how to fix that? (BTW, I use the same IceCat on an Android 4.x device; it works fine there.)

I unlocked bootloader on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and tried to Root it with Kingo Root mobile and desktop. Both keep failing and mobile gives error code 0x11f116. Now mobile version crashes when lauching. I couldn't find any information about that code, so can anyone help?

Chrome 86.0.4240.198 (latest update at the moment) Just yesterday Chrome's tabbing started misbehaving. When pressing the button to look at the list of tabs, the display with a cascade of tabs doesn't show/refresh. Sometimes even the webpage shown before doesn't seem to disappear and the only indicator that you should be seeing tabs is the + over the homepage button. Occasionally the tabs will show but won't appear to scroll (though they do). It appears to work as it should, but without displaying. Think putting a blindfold on when manipulating tabs. You can scroll through tabs, close tabs by swiping, switch to another tab, as if it had displayed them. When you do switch to any (random) tab, you take a blindfold off / the page and surroundings displays normally, no trace of any fault. Proof that *it did scroll*: the upper part of the screen should be displaying the first tab; I tap where the orange "Learn more" button appears to be and I open the 1st tab, BBC Weather page, as seen on the **3rd screenshot**. I open tabs again, see the **4th screenshot**: cascading tabs. I drag up and again, like frozen. But *it did scroll invisibly again*, because I tap at the bottom (Sunrise, Sunset) and end up seeing the **1st screenshot**: 2nd tab. I have restarted the phone a few times and uninstalled+reinstalled Chrome (uninstalled updates, reverting to the built-in version, which also wiped out the app's data), but to no avail. I haven't found anything on the internet about these symptoms either.

I am using Android 10. Samsung One UI 2.0. I have installed: google-chrome, firefox in my android. But, when I click on external url on various apps, I get this error very often: No browser on device. What are you doing?. And on the other times I don't get this error. How can I resolve this issue? So, I recently downloaded myfitnesspal and when I did, it showed as updated and not installed. It said that the app was recently updated and not installed. I am trying to install Fortnite on my phone. But it's saying the app is not installed. I tried on a few other phones too. It is not installing on any device I tried, but they all are actually incompatible for Fortnite. Even if it's not supported, why is it not installing? I can see many incompatible APKs installing on my device well. Is there anyway I can fix this?

I am using Android Lollipop mobile. I have uninstalled preinstalled Youtube app updates. Now I tried to update the app from Play Store. It is giving the error "Can't install app" with error code 910. I have tried the following steps: 1. Deleted Play Store app's cache and data. 2. Deleted Download manager app's cache and data 3. Deleted Youtube app's cache and data. 4. Restarted phone.
