I am going on a long trip to the UK and Middle East, and want to take my LG G4 with me and use foreign service providers. I am planning on flashing the H815T (Similar to H815 International Version but supports more bands) KDZ file onto my existing LG H812 (Bell Canada) hardware, so I can have support for those frequency bands in the UK and Middle East.
According to my understanding, the H815T rom is compatible with the H812 hardware, as both the Bell Canada and International Versions have the same underlying hardware, but I would gladly appreciate if someone can confirm this. I have attached the phone details below.
Thanks and all the best!

Odd problem with my LG G4 phone, on Monday I check my whatsapp and the screen starts ghost touching itself randomly in different places? I lock the phone to stop it and reset a couple of times, but it’s still noticeable.
At the same time that started there was a issue with my rear camera, a message kept popping up saying “unfornately the camera has stopped working”. I eventfully got that fixed by removing the battery for a bit, no other standard troubleshooting was able to fix it?
Before I fixed the rear camera I had identified that if I switch the data connection off then the screen is fine, no ghost touches ever happen when data is off.
So I’ve been keeping my data off now until I need it, but when I turn it on the ghost touching starts near instantly. And if it’s on, but there is no signal then it’s fine, but the moment it gets signal the ghost touches start again.
I also notice that sometimes the whole screens frame rate drops way down, almost as if I’m only viewing a remote access view of my screen??
I’m planning to do a factory reset after I get a backup setup, but looking to see if anyone has any ideas.
I haven’t installed any apps that weren’t on the play store, and I haven’t modified the OS is any way. And it doesn’t happen when connect to WiFi

I own an international LG G4 LG H815 and running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. For the whole day I am unable to flash TWRP on the phone. First I unlocked the bootloader with succes. Now I am trying to flash TWRP on the phone, commands that I used are :
mark@Mark-PC:~/Bureaublad/LG_G4_unlock/Root$ adb reboot bootloader
@Mark-PC:~/Bureaublad/LG_G4_unlock/Root$ sudo fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.6.0-hima.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (35928 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.440s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.353s]
finished. total time: 1.793s
After flashing I immidiately turned of the phone by pulling out the battery to prevent normal booting. Every time I boot in the normal stock recovery that offers my to perform a factory reset.
I was reading the question https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/133490/flashing-twrp-on-lg-g4-no-error-but-no-twrp but tries were also not succesfull. Chosing yes in the stock recovery wiped the data instead of booting to TWRP. I tried the same with different versions of TWRP for the LG H815 and of them gave the same result. My LG G4 is running Android 5.1 stock ROM without root.
I was also unable to find a file to flash by using fastboot that offers root access to flash a recovery from Android. All of the methods to root requires a working TWRP recovery.
mark@Mark-PC:~/Bureaublad/LG_G4_unlock/Root$ sudo fastboot boot twrp-2.8.6.0-hima.img
Booting of the image directly did also not work
I will be very happy when I am able to salve this problem.
Now I tried this manual on another Windows laptop : https://techbeasts.com/2015/06/16/install-twrp-recovery-on-lg-g4-root-it/
but after the commands
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot boot recovery.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.710s]
booting...
OKAY [ 0.400s]
finished. total time: 1.117s
unfortunately it boots normal after 20 seconds and stays unaffected.

My LG G4 phone's main microphone is broken but it's secondary microphone is working. That is, during ordinary calls or voice recordings, the microphone doesn't pick up any sound (completely dead) but during speakerphone calls or video recordings that microphone works fine.
Is there any way to permanently redirect the primary microphone to the secondary one, so that for ALL calls, the secondary microphone is used to pick up sound?

Is there a way to diagnose which app is causing the flashing?

I got an LG G4 (locked bootloader, no root), on which I enabled adoptable storage on with
adb
a few months ago.
Today, I tried to put a SIM card in the first SIM card slot, which was under the SD card slot (of course my phone was turned off). I removed the SD put the SIM in the other slot and put my SD card back in. Since my SIM card was the wrong size , I removed it. But when I turned the phone on , my SD card wasn't showing up. Even the file manager was not showing either my internal and my adoptable storage . I tried to put another SD card , it didn't show up too. So, I think I damaged my SD card reader in some way. I know since device is not rooted I can't get the .key
file to recover my SD card.
So my question is : Can I bruteforce the SD card to get the .key
so that I can recover my data?

On an LG G4 (Android 6.0), I'm unable to send SMS messages, when I called my provider they told me that I need to change the Service center number in the Messaging app settings. Currently it's
+7
, when I try to change it to the correct number (+97253989999

UPDATE
------
When I restarted the device, the problem corrected itself and the correct number was set as the service center number.
Does anyone knows what the cause for this can be (it's not the first time this happens)?

In particular, I would like to know what the icon on the leftmost side does (hand holding phone and arrow). See screenshot below for reference.
Any help understanding this icon would be greatly appreciated in addition to the functions of the other icons. A diagram would be most helpful. For some reason one for the front camera settings was not included in the user guides that I came across when I searched online.

I'm using LG G4 H818 with android 6.0 All of the sudden my battery started to get drained when I'm not using it at all, mostly over night.
For example, it goes from 100% to 45% over night when I turned off pretty much everything like wifi, data, location, sync etc.
When I turn on the flight mode, everything looks good and I may lose only 2% of my battery, except I can't get calls and since I should be on call for work, that's not a good option.
I have also installed some battery usage app and top processes related are:
- android/OS
- system/android/log.d
I also changed battery in case my previous battery was broken, this doesn't helped either.
Today, I did a factory reset, wiped cache partition and of course there is no app installed and still the same.
And, one more thing, my phone gets hot while using/charging, but not when I'm using it. Any suggestion about how to fix this issue?

Recently my camera on my LG G4 has been having some issues and is not working at all.
When opening the camera app either front or rear there is just a black screen and after a moment the message "camera unfortunately stopped working" and the app is closed. Also I have checked that the flashlight is not working but that must be related to the camera problem I guess.
It is not the first time it happens. Sometime ago I had the same problem for about two weeks but the problem magically solved itself. But know it reappeared when I tried to open the camera through the locked screen menu while having another camera app which might be unrelated but I am not an expert.
I have tried several usual methods to solve the problem:
- Rebooted the phone;
- Deleted Cache (Both camera app and gallery);
- Deleted App Data;
- Tried a third party app;
- Factory Reset;
**Nothing Worked!**
I have know tried to use adb and android studio to see what kind of errors are issued and what I got was this:

Other informations about the phone is that it is not rooted and has no custom ROM installed by me.
I really hope there is someone who can help me with this because this camera would serve me well!

How to fix Bluetooth taking around a minute to connect to devices?

With the bluetooth on my phone I used to be able to listen to music on my headset, get into my car while the music is playing, have the bluetooth hand off its "media" processes to the car's bluetooth, then pass it back to my headset when the car shuts off and its bluetooth connection ends.
Lately, my phone has not been doing that successfully, and will only connect (sometimes) if I wait for long (1 minute), or if I open my bluetooth options and force it to connect.
I feel like it's something to do with how my phone is "searching" for bluetooth devices around it, but I have so far not had any luck with poking around in its discovery and connection settings. I have tried resetting network settings and did a factory reset too but to no avail.
Basically the way the process should be is:
1. Headset connected as Media and Call device
2. Another Media Only device (that has been previously paired) turns on in range
3. Bluetooth passes Media to new device (speaker, car stereo, etc.)
4. Media only device turns off
5. Bluetooth passes back to the Headset
If anyone else has had a similar issue and knows of a fix including those requiring root access, please let me know.
Phone Info:
Verizon LG G4 (VS986), unrooted, Android 6.0

My LG G4 just recently went into the dreaded bootloop. I plan on sending it to LG to fix, but my pictures from earlier in the year are on the phone's memory. I also have a ton of music on it, but my pictures are more important to me. I checked in my Google Drive account, and it had automatically backed up on April 11, 2017. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out if or how to view or obtain the backed up information? Anyone have any ideas?

When I change my account in tyre Google app to my secondary email account, the issue goes away.
Any idea how to correct this?
