With AT&T, I can text *DATA# from my iPhone to get data usage for the current billing cycle. Is there any way to do this programmatically, say I automatically receive text every Wednesday at 13:00?

- Country: USA - Carrier: AT&T - iPhone: Xs - iOS Version: 12.4 I’m wondering if this is more carrier-related than phone-related, but on occasion I won’t have a Voicemail notification show up until hours after I miss a call. This seems to be random as it doesn’t happen for every missed call and doesn’t seem to be exclusive to calls I send to Voicemail or actually miss. Is there a way to “refresh” my available Voicemail list (as the normal *pull down to refresh* motion doesn’t seem to work) manually? Has anyone else run into this behavior (and more importantly, fixed it)?

I have a Mac Mini server running the latest version of Mavericks and server app version 3.2.1. When I first signed up for AT&T U-verse I had a 2Wire 3801HGV modem. I was able to set up web hosting using the server app and Phusion Passenger for my Ruby on Rails applications running Lion Server. Even upgrades to Mountain Lion and Mavericks did not mess up anything. Everything worked as before. A few months ago all my U-verse services quit working well. The wiring was updated to CAT-50. My modem was changed to the Motorola (Arris) NVG589. Now web browsing is slow at best and my web hosting no longer works. Either my websites do not display at all or they display with no images. I assume the DNS is set up properly for the web hosting because the correct websites show up. I did a clean install of Mavericks and put the same DNS settings as I had when everything was working. I also did a Server Hardware Test just in case something was wrong with my hardware, especially the memory. No problems with the hardware were found. I came to the conclusion the problem is with the NVG589 modem. I did some web searching on the AT&T site and others and found that the problems I describe occur with the NVG510 and the NVG589 because of a known software bug where the DNS check times out really quick before most websites can display. The only option I have (I guess) is to make my Time Capsule the main router. I found a solution in several places, including the AT&T forum. I have two questions regarding this: 1. It was suggested that if the Device IPv4 Address is the same subnet as my personal router's LAN segment that I should change the subnet on my personal router (aka Time Capsule) to something like 192.168.10.0. How can I change this number in Airport Utility (or some other tool)? I could not find a way to do this. 2. The steps also say to disable the section on the NVG589 where I opened ports 80 & 443. I know that theses ports are already open on my Mac Mini server. How do I open them on the Time Capsule? Right now I am in bridge mode at the advice of an Apple specialist while trying to solve another problem long ago. When I change the router mode of the Time Capsule to DHCP will I be able to open ports using Airport Utility (or some other tool)? If I cannot resolve this I have lost my development server where I need to be able to test my websites assigned to a domain before deploying to my production server. I checked the AT&T website and the only modem mentioned for AT&T U-verse is another modem that looks similar to the one I have. Maybe it will work but I just wonder. Any help would be appreciated.

My Friend recently gave me her old iPhone 6 and she said that it was currently iCloud locked to AT&T. I have no clue what an iCloud locked AT&T iPhone means. Can I still use the iCloud Locked AT&T iPhone 6 as an iPod to store some music on?

2 kids with iPhones... Parent wants to setup controls. The two things I've seen are * [SL (SmartLimits)](https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/smartlimits.html) for AT&T * [PC (Parental Controls)](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201304) on the iPhone. Using SL would limit Time, Numbers, Data, etc from the phone itself... while the PC would limit access to stuff like porn and other bad sites within Safari. If I use PC do I still need to pay for SL? Does SL do web filtering (IE: XXX) now or does it still not block Safari? Are there any limitations to using these two together? Are there any other options worth noting? Or is it really limited these two options? **Edit:** As a clarification... Parent has 2 "tweens". Boy & Girl. Associated issues - XXX, "Sexting", up late, using during school hours, etc. They aren't "Technically minded" so trying to look into "simple" options. What I see available is SL and PC... but neither seems a silver bullet. Neither also seems to offer super-granular control (Which is, I guess, okay for non techies) nor all the options in one place (SL can't block Safari and PC doesn't seem to have hours of operations, that I can see). For example, one specific question is "How do I block Instagram after 10?". Personally, I would block data on the phone via SL - but that doesn't block WIFI access to those services if I'm not mistaken. So... my "edit" is more... how does one handle "Parental Controls" and are there any "all-in-one" options? If not, SL & PC it is... SL for texting/calling/cell-data during inopportune times... PC for more control of the iPhone and applications such as Safari - but not super-granular such as "Block Instagram after 10".

This question applies to phones on the AT&T network. I don’t know if the same happens on other networks. You're no doubt familiar with the AT&T Star Services codes one uses from the Phone app on an iPhone, such as *3282# to check data usage or *646# to check minute usage. Whenever I send one of those codes while on the LTE network, the connection switches to 4G and remains there until you get the information you requested (via SMS), and remains on 4G even after the SMS text is received. After anywhere from 20 to 60 seconds the connection automatically goes back to LTE. Any idea why this happens?

What carriers can utilize my network unlocked AT&T iPhone 5? I just unlocked it by submitting the request to AT&T and restoring it. Thanks!

I requested AT&T to unlock my iPhone 5 at http://att.com/deviceunlock . I got an email saying that my device may be unlocked. According to the instructions in AT&T's email, I need to do an iTunes backup and restore to complete the unlock process. I have NOT done this yet. I bought this T-Mobile SIM and inserted it in my iPhone and T-Mobile shows up in my phone's status bar. I cannot make phone calls because I have not signed up for T-Mobile service and have no intentions to. So, is my phone unlocked at this point? Is there something else I can look at to confirm this? Thanks!

I'm finally fed up with AT&T's exorbitant cost and ready to switch to T-Mobile. I'm well past my contract obligation and have maintained my iPhone 5 in near pristine condition. Can I have this phone unlocked and use it with another provider?

Would an unlocked AT&T iphone 5c work well with 2G/3G in India? AFAIK, India doesn't have 4G yet. So, I am not too worried about 4G/LTE. Would it latch onto 3G in India? I bought the phone in USA.
