I'm new to apple script: Does anyone have an example of using an AppleScript to send individual emails with unique attachments for each email using an excel list? (Lots of examples out there sending emails with an attachment, but no one seems to have done it with different attachments for each mail???) Basically I have an email list in excel which holds all email addresses and file names and a Folder with each excel file in it. I want to send the email to user in email list and attach file to email and on a loop until complete. Each person should receive the same email but will have different file attached. Can someone provide example please?

I copied a large number of .eml files from Mail.app to a separate folder. Each message has two attachments: a .kmz in base64 and a .gpx in plain text. I want to get these attachments from the .eml files. Since the .eml identifies the original file name, it would be nice to keep that. But it's also possible that more than one might have the same filename. Two possible solutions : - [Using Python](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44323859/extract-attachments-from-eml-files) - [Using Applescript](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/91013/how-to-auto-download-a-certain-attachment-in-mail) But since I don't know much about either language, I don't know what mods they would need to be able to work on my files nor the syntax I'd need to run them. There is also a free tool offered online, but since dozens of domain names are pushing it with identical web pages, I suspect it's malware. I can go through the messages one by one in Mail.app and drag out the attachments, but it would be nice to not have to do that 408 times.

I'm using the Outlook mobile app for iOS as well as OneDrive. I'd like to attach files from OneDrive when I compose an email in Outlook, so I click on the paper clip, then choose Attach File, then there is a page titled "Files" and at the top are a list of cloud service providers, such as Google Drive, Box, etc. (picture at the end) Unfortunately there is an X next to each of these, and I accidentally clicked on the X by OneDrive, assuming it was an arrow ">". Now that option has disappeared. Have I permanently lost the ability to attach files from OneDrive to my emails? How do I bring this back? It's not clear to me if this "Files" page is just a part of Outlook, or if it's related to the Files app bundled with iOS. The whole thing is a mess. Attach Files Screen

Suddenly now, Gmail insisting on their being attachments only, and often the attachment downloads on the other end as a corrupt file (even tho the screenshot looks fine upon first snapping). I would like to update Preview or uninstall and reinstall it, but can see no way to do that. Also don't know whether is is a Gmail issue or a Preview issue?

I've got a PDF that has something else (actually, another PDF) as an attachment. Like most Mac users I use Preview by default to view PDFs, and Preview gives no indication that I can find that there is an attachment, nor can I figure out how to access the attachment now that I know it's there. I was pretty confused until I tried Adobe Reader which immediately makes it clear that there is an attachment. Am I missing something here or is Preview essentially ignoring attachments?

I send a lot of mails to many different contacts. Sometimes with attached pictures like png and jpg files. Quite often I get people responding to me that they cannot see the attached file. And their response will almost always include the attached file, proving that they *did* get it. Often it is a Microsoft client, but I don't know for all different cases. Sometimes I can explain that they need to check the list of attached files, if the pictures do not show inline in the text area. But other times they insist that they cannot see any traces of the attached picture, whatsoever. This did not seem to be the case when I tested AirMail, for example. No issues with attaching for example PDF files. I remember something about a configuration setting for attaching inline vs. not inline. But I cannot seem to find it anymore? What can I do about this. Is it possible to make Mail.app attach files in a manner, that "all" mail clients are able to understand?

Note: I understand the general issues about Outlook encoding attachments, but this is about a specific device. Our school sends out a newsletter as a .doc attachment. My Wife and I both have iPhone SE’s. I can open the attachments fine, but on my Wife’s it shows as a winmail.dat attachment and she can’t open it. We both have the same mail provider (a private mail server). Even if I forward the email I received, her phone shows it as winmail.dat. It opens OK if she views it on webmail so this is very specific to just her phone. Her iPhone is up to date, mine is running the iOS 12 beta, but she has been having this problem before I installed the beta so I don’t think it’s related to the iOS version. As far as I can tell, there are no settings on the phone that might control this. Any ideas?

I want to save certain incoming mail ***attachments*** to an external drive, not a whole folder or even a whole email. I want to set up a ***rule*** in Mail that will automatically select certain regular attachments I receive and file them in a designated folder on a connected external drive, deleting them from Mail. Clearly, Apple Mail's rules exclude any such capability and only allow filing in another Mail folder. Can anybody suggest a simple way of accomplishing this?

I am using macOS Sierra. Recently, the Mail app started having problems with attachments. On many (but not all) messages, attachments show up, but they are displayed as "Mail Attachment", not as the actual file name. Curiously, sometimes the correct icon shows up. I thought that maybe they needed some time to download, but waiting for hours does not solve it. I tried turning on and off the automatic attachment download and deleting the Mail Downloads directory, but that did not fix it. This is an Exchange account, which may be part of the problem. Any idea what could be causing this?
