I often want to share links in Safari via Mail. I usually share (button next to the address bar) and click on Mail and send it to the person of my choice. enter image description here But, since I updated to iPadOS 16 (December 2022), it doesn't work anymore from out-of-Mail. I mean that when I try to send mail from any other app than Mail by sharing, it does show the send options (as if drafting a normal email), everything seems to work fine, I compose, I send. **But** the email never gets sent! I checked in my "Sent" mailbox, where the emails I've sent normally go to, but the one I've tried sending isn't there, even an hour after. When I send the same email (same email/person/sender/subject...) from Mail app, it works just fine, I just have to wait for about 10-20 seconds to get the email to be loaded in the "Sent" mailbox. **How to make me able to send email from any app again?** *Note : I am on iPad 6th generation running iPadOS 16.2*

Since Gmail as a service does not support push on iOS Mail, I do not get notifications for emails as they come in unless I use a third-party email app. I have used Outlook for iOS for a long time now, and it has worked great. However, I recently got an Apple Watch, and I was disappointed to find that the Watch app for Outlook does not render HTML in emails. The emails are plain text only. From what I have seen so far, the built-in Mail app on Apple Watch does a good job of rendering HTML emails. I have not had any luck finding a third-party app that can do this, though, so that I can get both HTML rendering and push notifications for email. Do any Watch apps that render HTML emails exist, or does Apple not allow third-party email apps to render HTML for some reason?

I'm using an iPhone 6, running iOS 9.2.1. Recently, I experienced an issue with my iPhone email client. I hit "Reply All" on an Email A, composed my reply message, and hit "Send," but the email that was sent had some very incorrect information.

The subject line in my reply email was correct: "Re: Subject A," and the sent message included the reply text that I had composed, but the Original Message (the text that is automatically included below my signature when I reply to an email) that the email client included in the reply was NOT Email A. It was a bizarre combination of Email A and a separate message, Email B, which happened to be the most recent email I had received. To illustrate, here is what the situation looked like:

# EMAIL A # From: **Person A** Sent: Wednesday, June 1, 2016 12:00 PM **(Date/Time A)** To: Me Subject: **Subject A**

"Message Text A"

**PERSON A**'s SIGNATURE # EMAIL B # _(Completely unrelated to **Email A**)_ From: **Person B** Sent: Wednesday, June 1, 2016 12:10 PM **(Date/Time B)** To: Me Subject: **Subject B**

"Message Text B"

**PERSON B**'s SIGNATURE #EMAIL C# _(My email in reply to **Email A**—this should have only included data from **Email A**)_ From: Me Sent: Wednesday, June 1, 2016 12:15 PM (Date/Time C) To: **Person A** Subject: Re: **Subject A**

"Message Text C"

MY SIGNATURE _[Auto-populated reply header:]_ On Jun 1, 2016, at 12:10 PM **(Date/Time B)**, **Person A** wrote:

"Message Text B"

I'm baffled by what could have caused this. As you can imagine, this caused some miscommunication, including some severe privacy concerns, and I cannot have this happen again.

It seems like when the email client was preparing Email C for me to enter my reply, it may have somehow linked Email B to Email A. Any ideas on what could have caused this, or what may have happened?

**NB. I'm purely asking out of curiosity, flags sync correctly for me on both iOS and macOS using a GMail account.** In macOS/iOS Mail you can assign different coloured flags (orange, red, violet, blue, yellow, green, grey) to messages, rather than just starring them. How is this stored, is there something in the IMAP specification that supports extra metadata for messages? To my knowledge, Gmail has never offered anything other than starring messages, although I seem to recall there may have been an optional extension that supported extra colours. (I assume iCloud syncing isn't involved.)

I noticed recently that certain German characters (ß, Ü, Ä/ä, Ö/ö) are displayed incorrectly in the subject header of messages if (and only if) they are followed either by a space or no character (within the subject header). This only affects Mobile Mail on iOS, but not Mail on macOS. Even more mysteriously, the lowercase Umlaut ü is not affected. The example subject lines L(ü|ä|ö) are displayed correctly in macOS Mail, a webmail interface and other clients (like mutt). The message source looks as expected:
Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?L=FC?=
Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?L=E4?=
Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?L=F6?=
In Mobile Mail, the subject looks like this (as I said, lowercase ü is the only umlaut not affected): Lü L L Does anyone know about this bug in iOS Mail? Thanks, Jan

For example, if I send myself an email from my personal account to my work account, since they're both associated to the same contact, I can't figure out how to tell who the recipient actually was. I have both Short Names and Prefer Nicknames turned off in the Contacts preference.

How do I get all my archived Gmail into iCloud mail? I don’t just want it in the Mail client, I actually want it on iCloud servers for future reference. For example, an email I sent using Gmail 10 years ago, should be accessible in iCloud mail on the web, iPhone and Mac apps.

I like to look at the mail from my non work mailboxes as though they were a single mailbox, so I use the "All Inboxes" option in the mail app. I would like to exclude work emails from the "All Inboxes" view, is this possible? Failing that is there a way to create a view of my own that only includes my non work mailboxes? I've had a look at [Exclude mails from specific Inbox in “Inbox” view](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/31694/exclude-mails-from-specific-inbox-in-inbox-view) but nothing there fits my situation, and that's for mail.app anyway. I can't see any way to create a multi inbox entry, is there a way?

I've recently migrated my email from Google Apps to the free version of Google - however my iPad and iPhone mail apps are ordering my emails in some completely illogical order. enter image description here At the top I have new unread emails, then I have emails from October 2013 which then goes backwards down to 2011. Somewhere scattered in those messages are the emails from November 2013 to today. Other email clients (both on iOS, Windows and the web) don't have this issue, so how can I resolve this? More details --- I can temporarily resolve this if I scroll down to the very bottom of the emails (so loading them all) and then return to the top. At which point all my emails are displayed in the correct date order. However overnight iOS (presumably) flushes the bottom emails from memory and in the morning I'm back to seeing unread emails at the top followed by the ones from 2013. The ones that I've previously read are now buried somewhere in the list. - **Clients that don't have this issue:** Gmail (web), GMail (iOS app), Outlook (Windows), Windows 10 mail (Windows) and Thunderbird (Windows). - **Clients that do have this issue:** iOS Mail for iPad, iOS Mail for iPhone. I've tried importing my emails between Google accounts in multiple ways, none of which have made any difference to the iOS Mail clients: 1. Getting the new Gmail account to pull emails via POP3 from the old email account 2. Using Thunderbird to link both old and new accounts and then transfer the emails between the two via IMAP 3. Same as #2, but using a local folder as an intermediary - as suggested by this answer . Bizarrely, when I did #2 for "Sent Items", iOS Mail presents them in the correct order! Finally, this has nothing to do with threading of emails. I've tried turning that on and off and it makes no difference. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
