I have a few Exchange accounts set up in Mail that are working fine. Deleting sends the mail to the Trash folder, archiving sends the mail to the Archive folder. However, one of the accounts won't let me archive. The mailbox has a folder under the "Archive" section on the sidebar, and I can manually drag messages to it, but when I click Archive I get the following: **The message “[subject]” could not be moved to the mailbox “(null)”** **The destination mailbox does not exist.** I would assume this means that Mail can't find the appropriate folder to put the message in, but since the account has a folder under the Archive heading, I'm confused. Any ideas?

I keep getting a notification > **Exchange Password Required** > Enter your password for "emailaccount" in Internet Accounts. in the top right of my screen and it doesn't disappear on its own. If I click its close button it will reappear within a few minutes. I don't want to enter the password for this account, because on dodgy wifi or constantly changing internet connectivity situations, it will always log itself out again or cause some problem that makes this prompt return. I just want to stop the prompt automatically appearing. I will reenter the password when I feel the necessity to use that account again. How do I stop this notification from appearing? How to ignore this status?

In my company, people use shared Exchange calendars to organize their work. They see all the public calendars in Exchange after they login. Sadly, this doesn't work for me on Mac: after adding the Exchange account in System Preferences I see only my own Exchange calendar and none of the shared ones. I read [here](http://one.utsa.edu/sites/oit/OITConnect/mac/Pages/exchange_shared_calendars.aspx) about using delegation, but I don't know what e-mail to type there, as others see these calendars just as "public". Any hints?

I've found a post on the apple support community about this, but it had no solution. I have two inboxes in apple mail and outlook. One main inbox and one archive on a local NAS.
The amount between Apple Mail, Outlook and the web client from the email provider (that should show the absolute correct amount of emails) is different. Web client and Outlook is the same, Apple Mail always shows less emails. I'm not sure if there are actually some missing, because the numbers are so big, it would take ages to test that. Grouping of conversations is disabled, although it seems even if it's activated, it doesn't reduce the number of emails shown at the top of Apple Mail. Some examples: **Folder 1 Exchange (Main Inbox)**
Outlook and web client: 10.442 emails
Outlook Email Amount Apple Mail: 8.962 emails
Apple Mail Amount **Folder 2 Archive on NAS IMAP (with bigger difference):**
Outlook and web client: 112.769 emails
Exchange Email Amount Apple Mail: 90.563 emails
Mail Archive Apple Mail Amount I've removed and redownloaded both inboxes in Apple Mail multiple times.
It seems Apple Mail shows the correct amount. Is there any way to fix this and show the actual amount of emails?

My Outlook search stopped working. There are no results for any query. There are a few suggestions online. None of them seem to work. I tried: - forcing repair of database by deleting Outlook.sqllite - turning Spotlight on and off (sudo mdutil -i on /) - adding and removing the Main Profile folder from the list of locations that Spotlight is prevented from searching Is there anything else I could try? I am running Outlook 16.56 and 16.57 on macOS 12.1. Update: I found a discussion that suggests this may be an issue with Monterey 12.1 and another one on Apple Developer forums . It seems that updating to 16.57 worked for some people there, but it did not for me.

I am now on macOS 13.6 trying to figure out what settings I used. I can go to **System Settings > Internet Accounts** and see the Exchange account. There is a Details button to update the description and name. However, I can't seem to locate the full details, such as the exact server, domain, and username. That information must be stored somewhere. How do I see it?

I really don’t get on with Outlook, and have configured Apple Mail and Calendar to access my company’s Exchange account. This works perfectly apart from one thing: Outlook (or Teams) will automatically generate Teams online meeting links attached to an event, but if I create it in Apple Calendar I don’t get that. Is there any way to configure Calendar (or the Exchange backend) to do this when Calender creates an event? My workaround at the moment is to use Teams calendar to create events, and Apple Calendar for everything else. But that’s a bit painful.

Apple Mail wrong receive date for emails after moving the emails

We used an Exchange 2013 inbox managed by a hoster. Because of the discontinued support from Microsoft, we were kind of forced to switch to Exchange 2019. I added both accounts to Apple Mail and moved the emails (not copied) drag and drop to the other account, one folder at a time. I do this all the time to backup our emails to a local IMAP account running on our NAS. So far I never had problems with it. This time, when moving from Ex13 to Ex19, in some folders, the date when the email was received got switched to the date when I moved the email. So an email with the original date 02.03.2023 has now the date 18.03.2023 (the date I moved the email). This happened only to specific folders in the account, but around 10k emails. I already settled with it and moved on (although it is pretty unfortunate).
Today I wanted to backup the emails again and sorted by date to only move old emails. The sorting was all messed up which got me wondering. In the list of emails it's sorted (old to new) like this: - 13.03.2023 - 20.12.2022 - 01.02.2023 - 20.01.2023 So completely random order. When I open an email it shows the wrong date 18.03.2023 (the date I moved the email) at the top right. When I open the source of said emails, it still shows the correct date when the email was actually received. For example: Date: Wed, 8 Feb 2023 14:56:12 +0100 I contacted Apple, they had no clue and said I should contact the hoster, because the date is received from the Exchange server. The hoster said they have no way to sync this again. **TLDR My question is:
** Is there any way to sync the receive date that is in the source data of the email with the date that is used to sort and display dates in Apple Mail? Some things to know:
- The old Exchange 2013 is gone, so I have no old copy to move the emails again - The wrong date is already synced on the new Exchange 2019 and also displays wrong in the Outlook Web App and Outlook for Mac. - the only straw I have left is the correct date in the source of the emails

**Symptoms:** I've got a user with 3,051 contacts in his exchange account. We use exchange online. He is able to see and sync his contacts with the Outlook app and his iPhone (running latest iOS, 14 I think?). He has had this issue for over 6 months now on multiple computers and multiple OS versions, all Macs. Specifically, when we add his exchange account to the Contacts app, either they never sync, or a fraction of them sync. (On macOS 10.12 he gets 900 of them, on macOS 11 he gets 0) **Goal:** My user wants his contacts to appear in Contacts, because he uses the Messages app to text, and wants to see who is messaging him. This is a corporate account so we want to keep all the contacts in Exchange unless we have no other options. **I've tried:** 1. Adding and removing the account. 2. Moving all contacts into a folder. (This worked last year but not anymore) 3. Creating a new contact in multiple places to see if it syncs. If I make it in Contacts it syncs. If I make it anywhere else, nothing. **Question(s):** 1. Is there a way to check the sync status of Contacts within the Contacts app? 2. Failing #1, is there a log somewhere I can look at with details about the sync process? 3. Failing #1 and #2, are there other tools out there we can use as an intermediary between Contacts and his Exchange account?

Since yesterday, I have archived multiple emails (Exchange server) in the Mail app on my iPad. However, on the server, and therefore also on my iPhone and on my Mac, they stay in the Inbox. In general, the connection seems to work since I do receive new emails on all my devices. The Mail app says at the bottom „Updated Just Now“ and there is no error message. Possible causes: - I moved a large number of emails to the trash mailbox yesterday. - I am connected via 5G and not via Wi-Fi. I saw in the Settings app: „Your iPad will fetch new data in the background only when on power and Wi-Fi“. However, I use push and not fetch. I have also enabled „Allow more data on 5G“ since I usually work only on 5G and don‘t have a Wi-Fi hotspot available. I find this quite intransparent: Is iPad still copying emails to the trash? Is there another problem? Is there a way to know about the not-finished processes? How can I make syncing work again so that emails I archived on my iPad do not stay in my inbox on my Mac and on my iPhone.

Two days ago Mac Mail (Version 12.4 on Mojave 10.14.6) no longer accepted my Exchange password. I've tried everything I can think of: - Changed password in Office 365 Admin Center. - Exchange account still works fine on my iPhone, as well as in Web Mail. - Removed Mail Account and deleted account under Internet Accounts. - When I try to recreate Internet Account, it recognizes my user name, but when I enter the password it gets stuck on a grey window with a spinning gear. - Back in mail, the Account is there, but again it tells me the password is bad. I've retried these steps many, many times. - Safe Boot does not help. - The mail account works fine in Outlook for Mac (but I prefer to use Mail which we use business-wide). - I created a test user account to see if it's a User library issue. In the test account, the same problem occurs. - I have a 2nd Exchange account which continues to work fine. I was able to recreate that 2nd Exchange account in my test User account as well. Because the problem persists in a new test Mac account, I don't believe it's a Mac user account issue. Because the Exchange account works fine on my iPhone, as well as in Outlook, I don't think it's an Exchange account issue. And because I have a 2nd Exchange account working fine in Mail, I don't think it's a Mail/Exchange issue. If anyone has any suggestions I would be incredibly grateful!

I know there have been bugs that cause macOS (or the Mail app) to ask for the Exchange password repeatedly, but this is different from those. The issue I'm having is that I receive a notification for the Exchange password and can click the notification's Continue button to make it display the Internet Accounts window but it never actually prompts me to enter a password. When I view the entry for the Exchange account in Keychain Access, what it has is correct. I have deleted the account entirely and re-added it to no avail, and I've also replaced the Keychain entry with an app-specific password to make sure that MFA wasn't interfering somehow. I still receive the notifications. Nothing is actually broken that I can find (I still receive mail and calendar events without any issues), so I'm fairly certain this is just an annoyance/cosmetic bug. Has anyone got any ideas what could be the cause for this and how to resolve it? I'm on a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) with an Apple M1 Pro running macOS 12.1 (21C52).
