On my mac I have 2 accounts and the both are normal account. So in this moment I don't have a Administrator account, only one that was in the past a administrator, but now is not. How I can have again a Administrator account?

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro from 2011. After setting it up, I created a new administrator account in my name. Now, I would like to remove the previous account from the Mac, but I'm unsure of the steps to follow. If anyone could provide guidance on how to delete an account on macOS, I would greatly appreciate it.

I keep getting a notification > **Exchange Password Required** > Enter your password for "emailaccount" in Internet Accounts. in the top right of my screen and it doesn't disappear on its own. If I click its close button it will reappear within a few minutes. I don't want to enter the password for this account, because on dodgy wifi or constantly changing internet connectivity situations, it will always log itself out again or cause some problem that makes this prompt return. I just want to stop the prompt automatically appearing. I will reenter the password when I feel the necessity to use that account again. How do I stop this notification from appearing? How to ignore this status?

I'm having an issue where I'm not able to promote posts on the Instagram app. I was told by Facebook support to delete the app but when I reinstall Instagram after deleting it, all my data and account info is restored. It's repopulating the same accounts that I had signed in from that device earlier, so I assumed that it may be some local data. It should ask for a fresh sign-in. How do I completely delete the Instagram app and all documents & data associated with it from my iPhone?

I'm trying to reuse my email in a new Apple ID, let's call it emailone@gmail.com. Knowing that this email would not be available, I first swapped the primary email to a different account, which we'll call emailtwo@gmail.com, and removed the now secondary emailone@gmail.com as well. At this point I delete my old Apple ID using emailtwo@gmail.com as a stand in, the idea being that I will be able to continue the original email. A friend swore up and down he was able to do it before. But for whatever reason, I'm getting an error which states that emailone@gmail.com can not be used while creating the new account. Any thoughts?

I just added a Gmail account to my iPhone for Mail. There is no "Push" option available for Fetch New Data — only Fetch and Manual. How can I turn on Push for this account? I've tried deleting it, adding it again, I've tried adding it with Mail only, Mail and Calendar, but so far no luck with any methods.

I have an iCloud and Gmail account set up in the Calendar app on iOS. The Gmail account is shown at the top, but I would prefer to have it below the iCloud account. Is there any way to change the order of accounts in the Calendar? I can’t find an option in the UI. I sold my house with my apple devices (as they were being used for home automation). Now I am in a different country. I would like to change my Appleid's country. When I click on Country / Region under Personal Information, it tells me >Your country or region can’t be changed right now. When I read the help linked to it, the only two items that relate to me are - Subscriptions (which I have deleted) - Possessing a payment method for the new country (which I do) And it suggests that I should enter a new payment method. --- I tried changing the payment method. The old card had expired anyway. - I entered card details from the new country - I entered the relevant address and phone number for the card - I copied this to the billing address - I pressed Update And it tells me that the card is invalid for the old country.... **Catch 22** --- **Is there a way to Change the Country/Region?** I have read the old posts here on this topic. They are either very old and the instructions don't correspond to the current menu on https://appleid.apple.com/ or they don't have an answer. For example, one of them suggests that you cant change it until you add store credit. But Apple's help says the reveres is true. I have no store credit.

MacBook Air mid-2013, macOS Big Sur 11.7.10, Safari 16.6.1 I have an online subscription to the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper. When I navigate to the newspaper's website (https://www.sfchronicle.com) , the site logs me in and provides access to the online paper. I assume this indicates that the password has been saved in Keychain. Keychain Access does not, however, show the Chronicle account. When I search Keychain Access for the account itself or for the password (I wrote the password down when I opened the account), neither appears. Why doesn't the account or password appear in Keychain Access? Is it stored somewhere else? Should I do anything about it?

My son has a child/minor account on my iMac. It's a family account. He has his own username and password and iCloud access. We recently bough him his own MacBook. I can not figure out how to connect/configure this new MacBook to his iCloud account. During setup the MacBook will not let me log into his account, keeps saying password is wrong, then it freezes it.... but then I go to the iMac and I'm able to login into his account with his password that the MacBook thinks is wrong. So I gave up on that and logged into the new MacBook with my account and it worked. Now I'm trying to add my sons child/iCloud account as a user to this MacBook and it can not be anymore difficult. I have no clue. He shows up under family, but when I logout it only has me as a user to log back in. I go to Users & Groups and add account, but this wants to create a whole new account, I Just want to use his existing account. Also I want to keep his account on my iMac, so he can either login to my iMac (as he has been doing) under his own account to login to the new MacBook under his account. Any ideas on how to make this work?

I have created a number of "internet" accounts for mail in Mac OS, but for various reasons they didn't work, and I deleted them from the listings in the preferences, and of course they therefore don't appear in the Mac OS Mail app either. In fact, there are now zero accounts registered with mail abilities and zero appearing in my Mail app. BUT, if I go to Mail, and choose Connection Doctor, it still scans those old email accounts to see if they can connect or not! So it is clearly "retaining" those old accounts... and their credentials!! (because they are actually giving green lights for successful connection!) ... How do I get it to forget those old accounts? Cleanse that oddly cached account info? Thanks!

I bought my sister and iPhone and used my Apple id to help set up her phone. Now I want to delete her phone from my iCloud so she can set up her own Apple id. If I delete her device from my iCloud will it affect or remove any of the data on her phone?

The script is packaged up in an empty installer as a postflight script. It's all working well enough - however, I cannot get the Account picture set. I can use dscl to set the Picture property to an image file, for example the default Apple Account photos. I can even copy a photo I include in the package over to a number of directories, including /Users/newAccount/Public. But the permissions are messed up and no one but the newAccount can view the profile image. I am unable to chmod the file. Instead, I have to use the GUI and "get info -> Set Permissions" The other option that I can see is if I set the JPEGPhoto value. This is what happens when you use a custom photo or take one in photobooth. However, I'm not sure how to convert the photo I include in the installer into Hex or Whatever is being stored in the JPEGPhoto value. Thanks! - Chris Edit: Added script. I returned a MacBook to Apple Store, however apparently I forgot to sign out of iCloud and the latest tabs I was browsing still appear in Safari iCloud Tabs of my new MacBook and existing iPad. I removed the device from icloud.com -> Find My iPhone but it didn't work. Tabs list from my old computer is still there and I am trying to remove it from my devices list. I appreciate any ideas.

There are two administrator accounts on my Mac. Both are for my own use and both are password protected. When I try to open the Documents folder of the second account from the first one, it is not possible. I can change the permissions of this folder though, and then I will get access there. But what I want is being asked to provide a password of the second account each time I try to open this folder or make any changes there instead. Is it possible somehow?

I am trying to login to my mac with a personal gmail Google account (not GSuite) that has 2-Factor enabled, so I can sync mail, contacts, and notes. Previously, I was able to do this. However, recently Mac kept popping up a notification to re-login to the account. When logging into the account, I can enter in my user name and password, then I am prompted for a 2-Factor verification. After approving the two factor (I have tried with the Gmail iOS pop up, Google Authenticator, and a text message), I get to the following screen (below): When I switch my browser to default as Safari ([per the suggestion in this question](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/428555/cannot-connect-to-my-google-accounts-anymore)) , I get to this next screen (below) and then get the same 400 error screen above. Other things I've tried: Tried logging out of Mac, updating to the latest version, removing icloud, and trying to add Google accounts [see this Q&A](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/212996/internet-accounts-login-issue-with-google-and-icloud) - same outcome. I've tried using an application-specific password [such as mentioned here](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/221839/cant-login-with-google-using-internet-accounts) . The application-specific password won't work when trying to login to the Google pop up. When I use the application-specific login (e.g. one email account for mail and notes and add one CalDev account using google.com as the server and an application specific password) to add the account, mail and notes appear to sync,but contacts don't appear to sync.

I setup a lot of iPhones at work for our clients. For every phone I setup, I create the Apple ID and install a bunch of apps we use on site. Every time I go to install the first app I have to punch in the password, then get a popup "This Apple ID has not yet been used in the iTunes Store" and have to go through and fill out the location information, then enter the password again before I can start installing apps. Our default passwords are long, so typing them in multiple times is annoying, and our address information is also difficult to type on the phone keyboard. I'm hoping there's some way I can do more of this process on a computer instead of the phone itself. I tried signing into the Apple ID on the website and filling in the "Shipping Address" there but the phone still asked me to review and I had to fill it all out again.
