Selecting 'Ignore alerts' in the calendar info will ignore all alerts, even the configured 5 minute alerts in the settings panel: ignore alerts checkbox How can I receive only a 5 minute alert for all events?

As a person who irregularly reads notifications, I'd like to enable selected events to nag me until I acknowledge them so that overlooking key things on my schedule is harder to do. If this feature exists already, how do I enable it for a given event, esp. for notifications on the watch?

If a repeat question, please forgive me. With age, I am losing the memory to check my calendar every day and therefore just forget some issues. I have searched all the major search engines with the following question and find nothing. **When I reopen the desktop from sleep mode, is there a way to force the calendar to open with it so I can check and recheck what is going on in my life?** It seemed to be a simple idea, and notifications are on, but there seems to be no means of activating the calendar to open from sleep. The computer is never turned off so that is not an issue. I just want the calendar to appear whenever it awakes from sleep no matter how many times in a day. Thanks in advance

My wife and I each share a couple of our calendars with each other all contained in the iOS/iCloud ecosystem. Recently, I started getting calendar event invitations in my calendar app on my mac for events she creates or edits that don't involve me in any way, i.e. I'm not an invitee on the calendar event, e.g. she has a horseback riding lesson event that she schedules occasionally. 1. Why am I getting event invitations for these events? 2. Why am I not getting invitations for other events she creates on the same calendar? 3. Why is it when I decline the invite, it does not show up in the replied events alongside other declined events? 4. How the heck do I stop these superfluous invites from happening in the first place? I could switch the calendar to a subscribed calendar to stop receiving these invites, but I do occasionally make updates to her calendar if she asks, so that's not ideal. I have "Ignore alerts" checked on that calendar. This seems like a bug. Has anyone run into this before and solved it?

I have an Automator script (app) that simply does few clicks in an app. This script is launched via a calendar event. The script is scheduled and run from a different admin account than the account that is "physically" opened on the computer screen. Here is how it goes : when I test the script while connected with Screen Sharing, the script run just fine. But if I leave the Screen Sharing app (the user session should still be running in background), the script return an error when launched by the calendar event **"Watch me do error : (OSStatus error -50)"**. If I do the same, but I schedule the script from the other admin account (the one "physically" opened on the computer screen), it runs fine. I already set the permissions in Privacy settings to the script. It seems to be a problem of Automator script execution when runned on a "not on the screen" user account.

When traveling, I carry an old MacBook Air running Big Sur, and I use the stock macOS Calendar.app. I live in the Pacific Time Zone, and am now traveling in the Central European Time Zone. While traveling, I often view and manage home time zone appointments and dates. So that these entries appear accurately in Calendar, I turn on Time Zone Support in Calendar > Preferences, set to reflect my home time zone. Calendar then displays in my home time zone, as I wish. However, the time and date in the Mac’s Menu Bar clock then reflect the home time and date, not the time and date where I am in a different time zone. I would prefer the Menu Bar to reflect the time and date of my actual physical location, while the displayed calendar shows the time and date in my home time zone. Can this be accomplished in the stock macOS?

I have an iMac ( 2017 ) running Catalina 10.15. A year and half ago when I was running Mojave I purchased Adobe photoshop Elements 2019 directly from Adobe . The program was very glitchy but did function after a fashion. When I upgraded to Catalina, Elements got even worse and the only solution Adobe wanted to offer was to get me to pay more money and then to continue to do so. When I bought Elements 2019 it was not available in the App store and now it is. My question is this: is the ability to design and print the multipage wall calendars that are part of the Adobe purchased app, still available in the App store version?

Problem -------- Calendar invites sent to my email (usually .ics attachments, as they originate from a customers' Exchange server) do not add and sync to my calendar. The UI to handle the calendar invite differs from my wife's phone (as evidenced in the screenshots below. Invites work as expected on her phone, but not on mine. This happens to be the case on all of my iOS devices (iPad, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 7). My devices (all iOS 14.0.1) ----------- iPad 6th Generation, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 7 (no SIM) My wife's devices (iOS 14.0.1) ----------- iPhone 11 Services (all inclusive and simplified, for troubleshooting) ----- - iCloud Mail and Calendar DISABLED on both of our accounts - Google account connected, syncing Mail, Contacts and Calendars - Default Mail and Calendar on all accounts are not Gmail and Google Calendar Detail (My devices) ------ When I receive a meeting invitation, there is an .ics attachment. When tapping on that attachment, I am presented with a card that has "Add to calendar" and "Delete Event" at the bottom. - My name appears in the invitee list with a gray "?" - Tapping on "Add to Calendar" brings up another card where I can choose the calendar to add the event to (in this case, I choose Personal Calendar, but it doesn't matter what calendar I choose, the results are the same). - I then tap "Done" in upper right corner - Card disappears - Event never shows up on calendar, and never syncs back to the cloud (Google, in this case, but could be iCloud, Outlook.com or Exchange) Screenshot ----- My screenshot (not working) Detail (Wife's device) ----- When she receives a meeting invitation (from same source), the same .ics attachment appears. When tapping on that attachment, she is presented with a card that has "Accept", "Maybe", and "Decline" at the bottom. - Her name appears in the invite list with a green "checkmark" - Tapping "Accept" immediately adds the event to her calendar (visible in iOS Calendar app as well as web version of Google Calendar Screenshot ----- Wife's screenshot... working as expected Troubleshooting ----- - Performed a full factory reset and set up device AS NEW (not restored) - Deleted and re-added iOS Mail application - Installed Gmail application from App Store (to determine if that application provided different sync functionality to default iOS apps) - Installed Outlook app from App Store (Outlook RSVP also didn't work on any calendar) - INTERESTING NOTE: If Siri detects an event in the email message and I tap on the small bar at the top that says "Siri found 1 event", it WILL add to my calendar. I am at a loss as to what could be different on my device or account that is preventing my Mail and Calendar from behaving as they should, and it is creating issue with meeting invites accepted while traveling. I have to actually accept on a laptop OR hope Siri finds an event and tap that to add it to the calendar. Any help you all could provide would be appreciated! Regards

We use Mac / calendar / iCloud here at my company for time management. In my personal life, I use google Calendar. So I import my google calendar into my Mac Calendar. This works great, I can see all my events in one place. Problem: other people cannot see when I am busy on my personal calendar. The "Check Availability" option shows me as available during the times I have personal events. Here is a screenshot showing a concrete example. The blue event "PERSONAL EVENT" from 12PM to 1PM is my personal event. In the screenshot I am creating a new "WORK EVENT" from 2PM to 3PM. **You can see in the "Check Availability" window that my availability does not include the personal event. Why?** enter image description here I found a setting in the imported calendar named "Event affects availability". It was already checked. The name makes me think that the imported calendar should already be affecting availability? But it is not. enter image description here Is there any way for me to indicate that I'm busy for my imported Google events on my Apple Mac Calendar?

I have long ago discovered that if I want to keep calendar event times in the local time zone to set the time zone as floating. In reality, that’s no time zone at all. This really important when scheduling flights. This is easy enough to do in the Calendar app on macOS. It’s also easy to do if I construct VCALENDAR events manually. In either case, it works well on my iPhone (or iPad). The problem is that I can’t find a way to do this from iOS itself. The timezone options don’t include floating, which means that though I can add an event on my iPhone, I have to go to a Mac to finish the job. Is there a way to set the timezone to floating / remove the timezone on iOS? From the Calendar app, a third party app, a shortcut or even some code in Swift? __Edit:__ A simple workaround is t create a dummy event on the Mac with a floating timezone. On the iPhone, I can then copy and paste as many times as I like.
