Can I safely downgrade my Sony Xperia SP?
I just upgraded my Sony Xperia SP (C5306) with Sony's horrible tool from 4.1.2 to 4.3 (build 12.1.A.0.XXX to build 12.1.A.1.207), but my phone now runs worse, and I don't like the changes at all! I just upgraded my Sony Xperia SP (C5306) with Sony's horrible tool from 4.1.2 to 4.3 (build 12.1.A.0.XXX to build 12.1.A.1.207), but my phone now runs worse, and I don't like the changes at all! Unfortunately, it seems there is no legal/official way to revert. I am not computer illiterate, but have no experience with rooting and such, and everything I read warns about possible bricking and whatnot, so I am a bit weary of jumping into something and breaking my phone. Is there something I can do that is safe to return to the old OS? I'm so bummed as I seem stuck with this OS and I've deleted all my stuff when I tried doing a factory reset. :( Thanks for any help!!!

I am unable to share my mobile internet connection via Wifi hotspot or USB tethering to a laptop. When enabling the Wifi hotspot, the laptop connects to the Wifi just fine, but whenever I try to access a website on the laptop it ends in an error; on the phone it works fine. Same issue with USB tethering: The laptop connects just fine, but internet itself isn't shared. Now I've isolated the issue as coming from the phone itself: * internet works fine on the Sony Xperia SP * same SIM card on a different phone: sharing internet connection works fine (the type from the phone company was adamant they can't block this from their side) * connecting phone to home Wifi and sharing that internet connection via USB tethering to a laptop works fine * using a different SIM card on the Xperia SP and I still can't share the mobile internet connection The only thing that comes out of it is that for some reason the Xperia SP somehow is incorrectly configured and doesn't share mobile internet access via Wifi/USB. Which settings should I check on the Xperia SP to ensure that sharing mobile internet connection works?

I am running CM13 Android 6.0 on Xperia SP(codename huashan). After upgrading to CM13, I am unable to capture images using the camera. When I open up the camera app and click an image it gets stuck and no further operations are not possible. Also the captured image never gets saved even if the save location is SD card or device memory. Is there any way to fix this or is this a known bug with CM13 for my device. I have tried other camera apps as well but that did not solve the issue

Xperia SP boot loop into flash mode
I have an Xperia SP, and it's stuck in a boot loop after some faulty manipulation. I only see Sony's logo, and plugging the phone to my laptop sets it to `flash mode` automatically for around 20 seconds, before restarting to connect again straight into `flash mode`. How can I fix my phone?

Recently, I rooted my Xperia SP (running on Stock Jellybean 4.3). Out of excitement, I uninstalled a few Google Apps (gapps) from my phone. But I think I require the Play Store. How can I **reinstall Gapps** on my phone? Let me clearly explain you my **current status →** for uninstalling those apps, I used ES File Manager (Root Explorer-->Uninstall System App). Though some apps like the play store, gmail, facebook etc. were uninstalled, I found that apps like google account manager, google backup transport cannot be completely uninstalled. So, now I have an incomplete set of Gapps. I compared this list of **essential** gapps with my file manager's system apps' list and found only SetupWizard.apk missing. So, I downloaded SetupWizard.apk from here and tried to install using ADB but I got this error: [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]. Another interesting thing is that when I try to install SetupWizard.apk using my file manager, I get these screens, out of which the **first screen suggests that Setup Wizard is already installed** in my phone. What the heck is all these, man??? enter image description here enter image description here Now, I am a total newbie to flashing and other super-geek things, so I am pretty scared to flash the gapps' zip using CWM. Please give me an alternative way, if possible.

Rooting, bricking, and unbricking
I want to root my Xperia SP C502. I was wondering what if I bricked my device? Is there way to unbrick it? Can it be repaired? Is rooting worth its risk or I should forget the idea?

Did factory rest couple of times but nothing fruitful. 2. Did a software repair through Sony PC Companion but it didn't work. 3. Tried googling in and around but no good result as of now. I bought a Sony Xperia SP phone 3 days ago. Nice, fast, everything is seems to be all right, except for 2 things: Last night, I killed all the tasks, set the stamina mode, and charged it to 100%. I went to sleep at 23:00, my alarm woke me up at 7:30 (GMT+1 where I am). I checked my phone, and WTF? Battery is on 86%. No wifi, nfc, gps, bluetooth, anything was turned on, and as I mentioned, it was in stamina mode. I checked the task list, and there were a lot of tasks, that I did not start, I don't touch my phone while I sleep (obviously). I made a check again today. Killed all of the tasks except: - Advanced - Task Manager - Lookout - Clean Master - Messenger / Facebook. (I do not know why I did not kill this, because I am using stamina mode, but never mind). After I killed all of the tasks except those mentioned above, went to home screen, back to task manager, and guess what: Now running - YouTube - Google Play Newsstand (hungarian lang) - Google+ - Facebook - Google Play services - Chrome - Google search - FourSquare - McAfee Security - Intelligent Link - HRS Hotels etc... Why is it happening? (Who the fffffff asked to start HRS Hotels for example?) Ok, if Google search has reloaded itself, I say, ok, or some Google apps, but the others? How can I stop these apps starting automatically? The problem is, I check what uses the most of the battery power, and it says: Google Services 22%, Map, 19%. I checked Google services and here are the list of packages (I tried to translate from Hungarian): - Account manager - Google Play framework - Google Play services - Network location - Bookmark synch - Google contact sync Ok, I did enable these services, but this whole thing is strange for me. Please help me to improve to use my battery for longer use. Thx
