**Update:** The text messaging app might be a custom one. It's the default for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini. A couple of screen caps I've found:

Right now I own a Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 mini and I rooted it. I had this program installed from Android Marketplace that allows you to delete applications.
So guess what... I deleted several applications for testing purposes and I knew that if I uninstall Android System it would break everything.
I did that epic "mistake" for testing purposes (don't try this).
The thing is how do I fix this? I have spent some time reading through forums and installed Flashtool and downloaded the ftf file (X10a_v2.1.update-1_2.1.A.0.435_Generic.ftf) in C:\Flashtool\firmwares directory.
What I have to deal with right now: - My mobile phone switched off when deleted Android System so I decided to boot it to see if any error messages comes up. - Now my phone won't power off due to the lack of Android System. So I have to use a torx screwdriver to remove the screws and take off the battery (because Flashtool requires the phone to be switched off) but unfortunately the Torx I have is one size bigger than the required one for Xperia's screws. - I guess I have to wait until the battery is dead or I should just get a proper Torx screwdriver.
The thing is that I have another Xperia x10 mini as well (works for now - didn't try any uninstall) and connected it to FlashTool and followed the instructions to flash it but I keep getting this error message:
>ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ER R_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
I tried to figure out what's causing this and I end up with the "locked bootloader solution". I tried the instructions read here: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions but when I typed
##7378423##
no service menu was available...
That happened to the working Xperia phone. How would I possible do that on a broken Xperia?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!
We're all learning through our mistakes after all.

My first Android device is an Xperia X10 Mini. I've installed a custom ROM (miniCm7) and now my device is definitely 'cool'.
The only problem is that a lot of applications run in the background, slowing down the phone. Xperia x10 mini has a 600 MHz processor and only 256 MB RAM, so it can manage few applications altogether, despite they are applications I need (for example: WhatsApp, Facebook, Dropbox, and more).
How do I speed up and maintain it clean?

I rooted my Sony Ericsson xperia x10 mini and linked my apps to my sd card using link2sd, I then factory reset my phone from the android privacy settings.
superuser still exists on my phone
1. how do I get my linked apps to become visible and usable?
2. my Android Market has the (killing me) "starting download" forever (and I don't have GTalk, Google Talk that I was told I need to resolve this.) I've tried both wifi and SIM data connection
I've tried clearing market cache+data and nothing
I can't access my memory card because I can't download link2sd and I cant use the Market.
I want my phone to show my linked apps and for the market to work
If you need more info please don't hesitate to ask...

I have got a replacement phone for my HTC Desire while the latter is in repairs. It's Sony Ericsson XPeria X10 Mini. Since it's also an Android-based device I hoped I could sync my contacts and calendar events. However, as it seems it only syncs one of my calendar in full (namely Ukrainian Holidays, which is not as important) and new events for other calendars. I wasn't able to find option for selecting which calendars to sync as in HTC Desire. How can I sync my old events (including ones that are recurring in future)? It would be sufficient to just have my primary calendar on the phone.
P.S. I tried cleaning Calendar Storage data and synching manually again (from Settings -> Data Synchronization -> Auto Sync and then select Calendar). It took substantial time (~5 minutes), so I hoped it have synched old events, but they are still not in my calendar. It has even removed events that I have added today. New events get synched as previously.
